Just got my first 4Runner a couple months ago. Also my first 4x4. Nothing crazy like y'all be doing, but I was excited to get my Yakima Fatcat 4s on. Time to hit the snow!

Nice. I had issues with the snowboard bindings rubbing the roof with my Fat Cat 6's. They actually did some damage to the paint. Also I hated having to lift up one side of the racks to get the clearance needed with the factory rack and when I ventured off-road they would always fall flat again and rub.

On Saturday I got into the 4Runner and was just about to start the engine when I looked up and noticed
a hawk sitting on the fence next to the garage, just about eight feet away from me! I grabbed my camera
and got a quick shot before he flew off. He's either a Cooper's or a sharp-shinned hawk:

Super awesome! I think it's a sharp shinned, untill I looked in my bird book, based on his size he's probably a coop.

Thanks for the pointers! The bottom board in this pic was actually touching the roof, which I wasn't happy about. I then lifted the one side, as you mentioned, and was excited to avoid the contact with my roof. Now I'm not so excited if it falls flat while on a bumpy road. Hope these ones hold up better!

Ran the power cable through the firewall and under the drivers seat for my CB and amateur radios. Had installed the antennas and wiring a week or so ago, but delayed the rest as I had to order more supplies. Now, I find my amateur radio is having problems...hoping I just need to make up a new cable between the panel and radio...otherwise it'll be new radio time.

Tonight, I installed RCI lower link skids and wheel locks. Boy those lower link bolts are a major B to get torqued down again! Also, my Maxtrax came in from the group buy today. Ordered a set of Baja Designs Squadron-R Sports in amber and wide-cornering pattern. Can't wait to install those in place of the factory fogs.

Dropped the 4Runner off at the dealership to get the fog light full of water fixed, my Cooper AT3's rebalanced, (I keep losing weights), and to get my head unit reset because it's sitting down and rebooting. So this is my ride for the day
