On Monday Cris and I took another little trip up to Julian, CA and spent the night at the historic Julian Gold Rush Hotel.
Didn't get to do any off-roading or even get any decent pics of Megaweapon, but here are a few shots from our trip.
First up are a couple pics from the one brief drone flight I made, at Mt. Laguna:
At night I tried to get some photos of the Milky Way but there was a thin hazy cloud cover obscuring all but the brightest
stars. So I played around with shooting some pics of the town after dark. The first two feature the hotel:

A stained glass window at the Julian Grille:

Tried on some 305/70r17's and it got the bad ideas flowing. Looks like all I'm going to need is a BMC front fender liners have tons of room :wacko:
Ignore my rusty ass sliders I've been lagging on the scotchbrite and wd40

Bilstein 5100 all around set to 1.75" front stock height rear
Fender liners are pushed as much as possible without removing washer fluid bottle and the bumper trimmed up.
No body mount chop as of yet but my 285/70's don't even come close to it.
The 305's will need a BMC but I can fit my hand between the bumper and tire at full lock

We're heading that way this next week, for the first time. no idea where we're going, besides wheeling in Anza Borrego. I'm glad you posted that, because I think the family is really going to love an afternoon in Julian!
