That's not correct. Have been running Laminx over my stock fog lights for 3 months now with zero problems.

It looks like the installer on this guy's lights left some hard water or soap residue under the film that got cooked.

Agreed. Stock fog bulbs are all of a whopping 16 watts, they don't get very hot. If they got that hot, they would melt the plastic around the base of the bulb long before melting the yellow lamination.

Just bought a 2015 4runner trail premium with kdss!I plan on moving to calgary, alberta and this will be going there
(wifi acting up so not sure if pic will post).I also own a audi b7 rs4 (500hp) and owned audi/vw all my life. I gotta say the 4runner is amazing. well built. just the negative i gotta say is the nav is a bit choppy or the multimedia system sometimes lags here and there but its still good.

I have no idea if i plan on lifting it, seems like a pain, but i cant stand the reverse rake.
I love how the kdss system rides, and plan on keeping it.
-would it be easier to raise it with the TDR pro oem suspension? looking for 2.5"front and 2" rear. If that is too much stress on the system i don't mind not going too high
-is there a cable like i can connect and change some settings like use gps while driving when entering an address (passenger does it) or like turn seat belt chime off?
Mods i did:
-led interior
-hid low beams

Mods i plan:
-slineline hybrid with 30" heise led bar and with a winch
-rsg flat sliders
-265/70/17 bfg k02 (already ordered)

Ready for Spring Adventures

I spent the day adding a new Rhino Pioneer roof rack and now ready for any adventure. Our Rocky Mountain Overland group leaves Denver next for a week through Arizona and I am now ready for the trip. New Rack - Check, Camping Lights - Check, Extra Fuel and Water Check, RRT - Check - now just a few groceries and I am out the door to explore the desert.

Actually you're both wrong.......I've actually had it happen after 14 hour trip to/from Colorado in 2015, with the stock bulbs & Laminex....same exact thing as the picture. Switched to LED's & new Laminex, no issues in almost 3 years. Try touching the fog light lens with the whopping 16 watts compared to LED's........It can happen, and I am not wrong.
