I got it from bam wholesale parts. They shipped fast and even compensated me for damaged part. Was about $180 with woofer and enclosure.

I worked on my on rock sliders all day. I am using 1.75 DOM 0.12 tubing. All tig welded. The drivers side will be more difficult because of the kdss. Quite the fun project.

Replaced the clocking spring/spiral cable. Part was $46.13 on eBay, a modest 95% discount compared to the $918.76 the dealership wanted...

Big 4Runner Saturday for me, got the full Prinsu roof rack installed. That noise reducing weather strip piece was a pain in the ass.

Also did the h9 halogen headlight conversion thing. Seemed much brighter during the day but will head out and give them a full eval here in a bit once it gets completely dark.

I went through the same learning curve. Drop-in LED bulbs and back again.



There's a large thread somewhere about the XB headlights, I'm sure you can search for it. Reviews are mixed.

Philips H9 bulbs are the best bang for the buck. You will need to trim the connector tab and possibly the bulb tangs as well (some can get it in there without trimming). There's several threads that cover this.

Just got h9's installed today and I only went out for a bit after dark and holy hell are the headlights better. This is how it should have come from the dealer. Can't thank you enough for the recommendation.
