Uncorking the Tranny Cooler
Well, the sun is finally starting to come out in Seattle - it's supposed to be pushing 70 by Sunday - so today it was finally time for our first annual "Uncork the 4Runner Tranny Cooler" party, and to hitch up the trailer for a spin on the freeway to spread some wheel bearing grease around and exercise the brakes after their long winter's hibernation. The cold-temp winter block-off for the cooler is a piece of aluminum sheet that simply snaps into and out of the slots behind the washers. I drilled 4 additional holes in the cooler mounting flanges and used 1/4" toilet bolts with thin flat heads to get it nice and close (~ 1/8") to the A/C condenser to force the air through - not around - the tranny cooler. The toilet bolts go through 1/4" x 3/8" grommets in the mounting flanges so the cooler is happily isolated from vibration and flexing.
Can't wait to get back down to southern Utah and get everything - ourselves included - nice and warmed up.

finally had some time to wrap up the sPOD install.
Looks perfect! Going to do mine exactly like that when I get the rack lights

After much thought, I opened up my grill today....to let the SUN shine! :becky:
Was easy to do with a utility knife and a propane torch.
That sounded funny, so I better explain.....heat the blade with the propane torch and it cuts thru the plastic grill like hot butter.

FFS! Went to the dealership to pick up a cabin air filter and the rubber wiper blade inserts and saw this JUST as I was about to pull out. Of course I had to go over to check it out and contact the dealer to find out how many km's and asking price. Silver was always my colour of choice.:doh:

As a matter fact my "buddy" [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] made fun of my new outlets. I actually did it to be able to hook my solar up on the truck and keep the batteries top off.
