I got the "blemished" Rago Molle panels for the 5th gen. If you look closely at the lower left of the passenger's side one that I test fit on my truck before painting it, you can see the tiny part where the laser shouldn't have gone. It's a tiny problem that I'm probably going to cover up with stuff anyway. The driver's side one was perfect, too. $50 off and not having to wait 2-6 weeks for them to make the panels makes me a happy camper. They shipped out next day and arrived today.

After doing the test fit, I painted the panels for both sides. They're currently drying overnight. I also tried filling in the hole with an old Mack's earplug before painting. It doesn't look like it's a seamless fix, but I'll see tomorrow how well the fill fix worked.

Upgraded from Bilstein 5100s to 6112/5160s combination. Nothing fancy, just functional. I’m finally satisfied with this vehicle.

We reserved, but it looks like you can try your luck, show up and wait for one of the first come, first serve sites. We got super lucky because we were able to reserve a campground 2 days before arriving. I think someone cancelled theirs.

They are pay sites and it came out to $78 for two days (expensive IMO, but it’s a beautiful place). It gets pretty windy towards the afternoon, so bring some warm clothes. A fire pit and picnic table are provided. There are chemical toilets available and surprisingly clean.

I believe showers were available, but they were closed. I had to improvise for the wife since I didn’t want to buy a Waterport. I used a weed sprayer and a privacy tent to create a makeshift shower for her. She loved it.

Sorry for the long winded response. It’s a great place and we want to head back next year.

Hey that’s like 10 minutes away from me. The Chumash peak trailhead is where you’ll always find my 4Runner parked.

Tested my new car mattress. Totally rules.

Now it’s time to build a little platform to level out due to the 3rd row seating.

Need 5 1/2 min. Should be a fun project. Maybe drawers maybe just open storage for stowing folding chairs and tables.

So why the switch? What needs weren’t being met? And difference in lift / ride - presuming you stayed with stock UCA and springs.

I actually wanted Kings, but didn’t want to spend the money for them. I had Icons on my previous Tacoma(also started off with 5100s) and the ride on and offroad was a drastic difference for the better. I wanted to find a middle ground between price and on/offroad performance and my research pointed me towards Fox 2.0s or the 6112/5160 combination. I’m using JBA UCAs and T12 springs. I’ve now had the 6112/5160s installed for a few hours. At slower speeds on road, it’s noticeably stiffer than 5100s on T1 2.5” lift springs and T12’s. At speed (50 mph and above) it’s really smooth.

I finished painting yesterday and installed today my new Rago Molle Panels. The "blemished" part is a total non-issue. Well worth the money and very welcome savings with the "blemished" status. Very happy with it. I'm seriously considering getting the shelf that goes across the two panels.

That makes sense. Yeah I’m not ready to go down the UCA spring $ road. Looking to level out the front + a tad and better handling. So that’s where 5100s shine.

Looking forward to the slight clearance increase and range of motion.

Finally decided to put in the Dirt King upper arms. Really nice quality pieces. Didn't need it for the 2inch lift. Future proofing when comes time to replace the shocks so that I can go higher later
