What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

A while back I got the 400W Anytime harness from CaliRaisedLED.

It had a split on the harness to add another outlet, so I decided I'd add an outlet to the front cabin. Extended the wiring, bought an additional outlet, popped out the dremel and bam. Love the added flexibility.

i thought it wasnt recommended to add shims on top of coilovers?
please educate me so i can do the same lol

theyre .25 thick so .5" of lift. It just made the assembly a touch longer effectively giving me more droop travel. I barely have any preload on the kings, and the kings are not extended travel. I'm also running Dirt King uppers so i've got room to spare. honestly i was sick of rubbing at ride height, it was a easy fix lol. full bump itll still rub but at least itll take longer to hit full bump now lmao.

shims and longer bolts, didnt remove anything other then then the sway bar, and UCA/spindle nut.

It definitely needs an alignment, but it needed one already from curb checks at the mall.

I'm prolly just barely at 3" of lift over stock now with the shims.

2 hours 95% Highway. 2 adults, 2 kids moderate luggage.
Average about 70 mph, a/c on 1-2.

One time I reset my MPG counter on the way to gas station on highway and got crazy MPG 25 something and after I got full tank of gas it showed the Range of 430 Miles. Fun but took several tanks of gas later to get realistic data on range estimate.

Totally, 23+ mpg is not the norm.

If I drive 90+% city I’m 18-19 mpg. Edit- would be awesome if the next 4R was streamlined a bit, had a super efficient drivetrain with great lower RPM torque... and still a stout off roader. Bring back some old school engineers to really make it a top to bottom, inside out world class vehicle. And solve the frame rust issue.

Fluid Film the snot out of inside of the frame each cold season and keep external frame welds sealed well (convert, prime paint).

That post still mostly holds true for me. I am looking at updating the MCU here soon to see if it helps with an issue I've had. It's been kind of random but I'll occassionally get an error while in Android Auto where it'll drop out and a few seconds later come back on. It's not like a daily thing, but frequent enough to be kind of annoying.

I'm kind of interesting in checking out the T10 V2 and seeing how that performs.

Thanks! And yup, the one I linked is the one I used. The connectors using in the Tacoma were the same as the one in the rear of the 4runner.

Found a sweet deal on some 21 off-road rims with 500miles on the factory duncraps and slapped them on today. Figured I’ll run the tires for the summer and then slap on some bfg’s.

Replaced the worn, gross wheel with a fresh one. Easiest steering wheel to remove/replace out of many vehicle I've worked on.

And got gas.

Pretty mundane. I ordered a set of LFD roof cross bars that fit in the factory roof rails. Now I wait.

Oh and put a Sedona sticker on a few days ago and need to put the new Route 66 sticker on soon.
