Yeah no prob, Ill get one up when I get home tonight or tomorrow. All I did was order some 3/8 and 5/16 post and used those on the studs. From there everything else lined up just like stock.

Airbag light is on. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes before we left the party (I just had to try) but it's still on. Scanguage won't reset the code either. Guess I'll have to...

First, saying front skid was destroyed is bad choice of words. Better to say I crunched it, and cosmetically it didn't meet my standards. In fact, I could have straightened it out and fixed the rivet for the door and would have been fine.

Here it is, after replacing it with RCI steel plate.

I REALLY liked the looks of the aluminum plate when new, and would have kept it but for the cosmetics, and the fact that I do a fair amount of driving where I would continue to bash and scratch the aluminum.

I highly recommend the RCI plates, either aluminum or steel, and their customer service is outstanding! I go the replacement steel plate within two weeks of my call to Josh.

As to how the aluminum plate got bashed, I was driving too fast through some standing water puddles on the road and found one with a big rock at the bottom. :roadkill:

Ouch. I think the filter door area of the RCI's are in need of improvement. My ARBs, while not having a filter door, ended up crushed in a similar way in the same area. Bud's have a square piece of steel that braces that edge to the factory cross member, and so far I haven't managed to crush it.

Today, on Mineral Creek, someone learned the hard way that High clearance, short wheelbase, 4WD ONLY, doesn't include Volvo station wagons.

I'm pretty much convinced now, that this is the most dangerous trail in Colorado. So many destroyed rental JGCs, flipped RZRs, hopelessly high centered full size pickups, and body damaged stock SUVs.

Any pics with the wheels installed? What tires are you planning on running?

That's the same area where we've seen Subaru's, Neon's, a stock 1963 VW Beetle, among others. If you rent a vehicle in CO, it's probably been taken on a trail like this.

That's the reason we always hit Mineral Creek early in the morning around 7am off 550 before the fools get on it and before the Silverton and Lake City crowd can reach it from the top.

Hahahahaha yeah.. well.. the free Univision broadcast doesn't work on my phone and I shouldn't be driving and watching a game anyway.... and I can't help it that Argentina doesn't know what "off side" means! ound:

I've had the World cup standings in my weekly Program meeting for the last couple weeks. I have both Portuguese and German participants in that, so it's been fun smack talking...

I did watch the last 35 minutes streaming on Univision at home (I've ditched Cable TV for almost a year now and don't miss it)... because the Spanish commentators are much more fun than the weak-sauce that is ESPN. :lol:

No pics yet, hopefully get everything done up on Monday or Tuesday.

Will be running 275/65/18 Duratracs - should fit without issue on stock suspension from what I have heard. Just slightly smaller than a 275/70/17.

If/when I put a lift in, and I run these tires out (Duratracs came off my fathers truck, only about 7k miles on them, and all winter driving), ill bump up a size.

The trailhead south of Ouray is soooo inviting. It's wide, not too steep, and I think folks don't have any idea what they are in for. And by the time they get to the rough spots it's too late. Last did Mineral Creek the day before last years FJ Summit and had a blast. It's narrow in some places, and I think it's the rocky spots that tear up the cars. :shrug:

Re-did my 7prong towing plug with a model from ETrailer...actually was pretty easy.

I disconnected the old tail out of the back of the existing socket, then mounted the new bracket using one of the bolts from the bottom bumper fascia. I then spun a #10 self tapper into the other hole.

I don't keep my spare under my truck, and I used the 12" tail...but I think it would be best to get the 24" and route it more directly out of the way.

and before some waterhead points out that its hanging down...I tow a lot more then I rock crawl....I guess I'll have to be more careful coming down off a ledge.
