Damn...that sucks. Was it the access door that was imploded or just a direct hit. Not feeling confident that the aluminum is going to last on mine...

Hopefully my modified/reinforced access door will help (it is 1/2" thick). That's two (2) cases of water crossing into a rock and destroying aluminum skids.

BTW - went through your trailer build and awesome work - came out incredible...and your welding skills after using a grinder is admirable (better than mine, lol)

Installed CBI rear bumper and did a tranny flush (HUGE, HUGE difference now...did I say HUGE...IMMENSE difference).

I had RCI double the door thickness and add additional welding where it connects - they normally just do high-strength rivets.

Nice! I've been wondering how it would look without the swing out. Mine comes in on Tuesday. I'll be throwing it on come the weekend. I've been thinking about drilling holes to incorporate my back up sensors. Did you feel a big difference in the added weight under acceleration and braking?

Nice! I've been wondering how it would look without the swing out. Mine comes in on Tuesday. I'll be throwing it on come the weekend. I've been thinking about drilling holes to incorporate my back up sensors. Did you feel a big difference in the added weight under acceleration and braking?

It is heavy. Glad I did the upgraded rear springs. You definitely feel it, though it has no impact on how braking feels. You will need two guys to lift the bumper into place when installing. Also - no grinding or anything else...just slip right on and bolt.

Note that I had to take my spare tire pressure down to about 10-12 PSI in order to get it to fit. You lose about 3-4" due to the hitch receiver.

Er, what size is your spare? "normal" 265/70/17?

I asked twice about fitting the stock spare under there and got a "Yes" both times and there was no mention of "At 10 PSI"...

285/70/17 - I have onboard air so I am not worried. It should fit stock at normal PSI.

When I'm not running the swing out, my spare (285/65/18) fits fine under there without deflating. As you put the spare back into place, push the spare towards the front while reeling it up. There's about 1/8" gap between tire and bumper.

When I tried it was stuck against the panhard bar - literally right on it. I will look at it again this weekend but thanks for the info.
