Drove the 4Runner down to pick this up. It is a 2015 Subaru BRZ Limited. Super excited! I chose the Subaru badge over Scion due to the ability to get the Limited with upgraded features.

Should love the BRZ. People always ask about when the turbo option is inc., but if you want a turbo, grab one of the new WRXs. The BRZ, [MENTION=91565]200 hp[/MENTION], feel way faster than you would otherwise imagine, simply b/c they are so effortless and fun to drive, and are so tight in the turns. If you are looking for a fun, relatively inexpensive car, that is an intuitive driver's car, you picked right. I came to my 4Runner from a '13 WRX, and drove a BRZ for a week when my car was in for work - loved it.

Hitched up the old Thumper last Friday morning and headed up into the Cascade Mountains of Washington - specifically the 27th annual Winthrop Rhythm and Blues Festival. Made the usual coffee and viewpoint stops, watched the tranny fluid get too hot, and finally set up camp at the "Blues Ranch" in the beautiful Methow Valley. Some great bands Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. Most notable perhaps was the inimitable Charlie Musselwhite, and of course the Pacific Northwest's own Polly O'keary playing the bass guitar as only she can do it. Sad to think that the recently departed Johnny Winter played here just last year.

How do you like that A frame trailor!?!? Thinking about getting one. they seem pretty awesome.

Which tranny temp are you monitoring with your Scanguage? There are 2 codes available: One at the torque converter, which rises and files rapidly, and one at the transmission pan, which gives a more accurate reading of the overall fluid temp.

I always have the pan temp displayed and display the torque converter values only when towing.

Here are the codes:

Hey Antman - thanks for your response. I initially set up my Scangauge using the 3808 code (2+ years ago), and then a couple of months ago I noticed on the ScanGauge website that they had added the second set of codes (2808) for what they call "Transmission Temperature (Alternative)". I tried to set it up for both, but could not get the 2808 codes to show any value. Maybe I got some of the hex digits entered in wrong. Or maybe I need to have them update my unit. Will give it another try and see what happens. Thanks.

Yeah - we like it a lot. It fits in the garage when folded down, and we really like to be able to unhitch and leave it behind when the road/trail gets too bad or we don't want to haul it to trailheads when we go hiking. We bought ours as a 13 year old, very beat up antique, mostly since we weren't really sure that we wanted to go the trailer route vs. RV or pickup/camper, so we didn't want to sink too much money into it. Now that we know that the trailer scenario works for us, we wish we had bought a new one that wouldn't need as much work as our old one (rotted floor, plumbing issues, etc). But beware: they're pretty expensive when new. You can buy a large, well equipped travel trailer for not much more. The 3 companies that I know of that make A-frame pop-ups are Chalet RV, A-Liner, and Forest River. The first 2 make what they call the "off road" version - beefy axle, extra ground clearance, larger wheel diameter, etc.

I love it and I have only had it for a couple days! As you mentioned, it is definitely a driver'a car. My wife and I wanted a car that was new, fun to drive, reasonable on price, and has upgraded features (ie, leather, Nav, Bluetooth audio, hid headlights, led daytime running lights, heated seats, etc). This fit the bill perfectly.

I am hesitant to drive it too much right now since I am having Durashield "clear bra" put on in about a week. This thing will take a beating being so low to the ground.

I don't have too many plans other than black wheels, led interior lights, weathertech liners, and window tint. I am not a big tuner guy so the stock motor should be fine for me................for now anyway, lol.

As for the tuning, yah, since its a N/A, unless you plan on pulling the block, your stuck with what you got. However, a full cat exhaust, and a N/A dyno tune should snag you some extra horses.

Preplaced my plastic oil filler cap with the TRD one pictured below.
Received my Morimoto XB LED Fogs lights and tested both....install to come at a later date.

Nice ride! I almost bought one when they came out but found a low-mileage used BMW 135i that I bought. Ill be looking at them again when they bump up the horsepower. Although 200 is plenty for that car.
