I got tired of how long it takes my 4R to heat up on cold days so I fixed that. Base SR5 now with heated seats!
What seat heater kit did you use? I'm trying to find an aftermarket one with the OEM style switches like that.

There's and advantage for the Nexus, no cheap BT's for IOS, looks like Go Point BT1 only option without WiFi.
Still half the price of a Scan Gauge II with 200+ outputs.

[MENTION=78909]alexb[/MENTION] here is the one I bought. The switches popped right in. I spent a good amount of time cleaning up the wiring so it wasn't so bulk otherwise it was not too bad of an install and they do get hot!!

i am presently regretting that i haven't yet bought and installed those myself. up until a few days ago i was deeply invested in the fantasy that this winter was going to be a total cakewalk. :smow:
glad to hear they're working great. did you find your truck has the right leads under the seats to tap into?

If you don't have the option in your truck you don't have the wiring. It's been reported several times that's the case for the 5th gens.
I have a painless fuse box installed under the hood which is where I got my constant 12v from (rated for 20 amps) and tapped off the radio for ignition power and also illumination. Just need the ground which I used the bolt for the 4x4 shifter cover.
The rest is just the time consuming bit of pulling the covers and hog rings, getting the pads lined up and stuck down and then refitting. The drives seat went back together easily, the passenger I still have creases where the side airbag wrapping is slightly bunched. I worked for an hour trying to get it smoothed but finally gave up. Hopefully it will work itself out.
They do work great but unlike the OE heaters they only cover the center section. The outter portions are left unheated which causes a little discomfort but oh well. For $90 and a few hours work I'm happy and it looks 100% OE.

yeah, but i'm thinking back to this guy's install where he said that "Our 2012 SR5 had the seat heater wiring from the fuse complete to the passenger seat connector Na1 pin 6"

Yeah, our windchill was -35 to -40 this morning.
And you can't "pfft" at me. Its 5 in Fargo right now, -2 in St. Paul. Not that thats anything to brag about!

Got the Toytec "light" 2" Superflex springs installed. Not sure if I care for the stance yet. I'll be reloading all the work gear in the next day or so and see if it settles any. I knew I was getting a bump in height but almost 2" over what I had with the 1.25" spacers seems a little much even with the 10% increase in spring rate.

You need to bump front CO up to 1.75 if you add the 2" super flex springs. Stinkbug will go away. EDIT: n/m are your 5100 and spring combo adjustable? If not I see your using a ome heavier spring. Just try bumping the 5100 up one notch. Pain to do though if not adjustable CO.
