Saw this on the Tacoma forums when I had my Tacoma. It's a center cap from some FJ wheels. Tried to make it fit on my SR5 wheels. With several modifications, it just wouldn't fit quite right. Oh well, would have looked awesome.
These on the other hand were a direct fit. No issues. :biggrin2:

Mounted and wired rigid SR's for rear lighting, work well but pail in comparison to the 40" upfront (expected). Due to being nervous about wire lengths ended up with a bit more wire then I would have liked on the roof but did what I could to bundle it and zipped the connectors underneath where the rotopax sit. Even through they are weather proof I figured keep them out of the elements as much as possible never hurts. Also took the opportunity to cycle new gas into the cans as they were off the roof and greased to locks (def. need to do this unless you want them to be a real PITA to get off)

I've done so much stuff to and in the truck lately that I've actually been thinking of starting my own thread.
Just got back to Houston from our trip to Co.
Couple teasers,
sunset cruise up poughkeepsie. Never run it before so I figured we would go ahead and do it in the dark.

By driving carefully and paying attention to other drivers I saved my 4R from being T-boned by a sleepy driver in the black SUV this morning. The lady seemed completely clueless why I did wake her up by honking my horn. Video was taken from my dash camera (this morning incident starts about 30 seconds into the video).
First part of this video was taken by the same dash camera mounted in my 95 Tacoma - Same place same time 7 week earlier. The driver in front of me was not that lucky (or was distracted too) so she took the hit. Sorry. The lady in the white Mercedes was not lucky either as she was waked up by a "big bang", instead of simple honking.

Before anyone asks, while I'm "reading" audio-books on my daily commute, still my primary task is driving a car.

I really don't like driving down that road anymore, just too much traffic and like you've shown, a lot of it not paying attention.
I ordered new wheels and tires from discount tire today. Going to attempt to install my King shocks/coilovers and sway a way rear springs tomorrow, and the wheels and tires get in tuesday!

275/70/17 no rub as of yet. Haven't given it hell, but backing out of the bay at the shop, and turning around on my street I went full lock and had no issue.
The tire chart looks to hold true.
These damn things make the Runner look so much better.

Played musical trailers in the new cul-de-sac. Park boat trailer in driveway, disconnect from 4Runner. Disconnect utility trailer from 26ft Peneske, move big truck, connect 4Runner to utility trailer, park in driveway. Disconnect trailer and park 4Runner on street, back big truck up driveway for offload.
Two men and a Truck was wonderful, unloading the big 26ft truck and 12ft utility trailer in only 2 hours with 2 guys and some occasional sorting help from me!

Looks great, do you have any lift? I think the trail has a little bit more height in the front than the SR5, right?

I don't know about that. I don't think so though. I do have KDSS, which I believe limits my clearance by a half inch or so, due to the sway bar thickness and skid plate.
I hope to get some nice pics this weekend.

All better now.
Unfortunately that fails our state safety inspection or I would have done the same.
