Hit a unique mileage mark this morning.

Installed 275/70/17s on my stock '16 today

I have to give it to [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] , everything he said is true.

The E rated tire is louder, harsher, makes your truck slower to accelerate and slower to brake...it is so bouncy I can't even tell if the tires are balanced correctly.

I am running at 40 PSI but I am going to play with it a bit. I really wish I went 265 C rated :boxing:

Installed my mobile ham radio and 2m/70cm antenna.

Icom 2730A, Comet SBB-2, CP5 mount. Antenna cable runs through cargo headliner, down through the passenger side kick panels, and underneath front passenger seat where the Icom brains are located. Power to the brain runs under center console, underneath steering column and out through the firewall rubber grommet. Cable from brains to head unit runs under center console, up behind AC controls, and into the back of glove box through the dummy switch cover.

Haven't finalized head unit mount or mic hanger.

Excellent. I have the same antenna hardware and location. However I ran the antenna cable from under the passenger seat under the door threshold, under the rear cargo trim and up the rear pillar.

dark paint truck = white letters out

light paint truck = black letters out

any color in between = doesn't matter

I don't get the people on here who say the e rated tire rides nicely. It's borderline even tolerable on concrete sectional freeways.

Used my day off to do some recon for fly fishing spots. Ran into a lot of locked gates and private land dead ends, but I finally found my way to the North Fork of the Trask and had a good time getting lost along the way. Even came across a surprise waterfall. Only had the small fly kit I keep in the truck all the time so I tossed a few out with no luck. Will be back with my waders and the whole nine next time!

All day Dynamat project. 4 doors. Inside & out. Total coverage. (I know it's not necessary to do full coverage for the Hero out there that wants to save my money). Very happy with how it turned out. However, I ordered Dynaliner to go on top of the Dynamat & was supposed to be delivered today, but did not happen. Will have to do next week when I do the rear lift gate.

Eventually will pull interior and cover nearly everything I can top to bottom.

If it helps. I just put on 275/70/17 Cooper AT3's C-rated tires and I love it. Ride is exceptional and still has that beefy tire look.

I'm about trading capability for comfort to an extent, but this is ridiculous. Headed back to Discount Tire now - hopefully we can figure something out.

my 275 E rated BFGs ride as quiet as the stock tires did..... not sure wha tyou think you are feeling/hearing. you'd have to downgrade to some Michelin MS2s to get quieter..... and in that case you might as well trade the 4runner in for a Camry
