What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Yea, I had to disconnect both sides of the rear KDSS sway bar, use a floor jack under one side of the axle, and have my friend stand on the other side to get my 2898's in.

No kdss in my sr5, but yeah I disconnected the sway bar and used the floor jack for the driver's side. But with the stiffer ome spring in, even my 115lb wife standing on the hub didn't get me enough flex to put the passenger side in. The bottle jack worked quite nicely though.
The whole thing wasn't difficult, maybe 3/10 with about 5 hours for front and rear shocks and springs.

I would agree it is simple. My front was a tad bit harder with the UCA install and the KDSS to deal with. Still only about a 5/10 though. Any pics of your rig with the new stance?

I tested the unit

So we went to Bridal Veil Falls forest service Rd. The road is a 6.5 Km gentle forest service Rd. It was not worth the drive except for the fact that we were able to reach a very small amount of snow (1-2") in the last 200 meters and I was able to use the different 4wd systems on the 4R Trail. Some of them work amazingly well, good enough that I would say it was like being locked front and rear. Now this was in slight mud and snow but I was able to change the amount of wheel slippage with just the electronics.

Finished My First Garage!

Just finished all the drywall, painting, plumbing etc.... in my first garage! This is the first time EVER that my runner has had the luxury of a garage. When its parked inside it looks HUGE. Total new perspective!

Anyways a lot of “modding” this winter now!

Congrats on the new vehicle digs! Did you do it yourself? If so, another shout out for DIY! Be safe. Pics?

Started prepping my trunk today and then open the box and found this. Usually something like this wouldn't phase me, but having to see it almost every day, its going back to ARB. :moping:

Winch

Got to use my winch for the first time tonight, and pulled this guy out of a mud hole that was in the middle of a vacant muddy lot next to a grocery store. Winch works great.

Yes mostly, though with help for the drywall, I'm not the biggest fan of drywall installation. All in all, pleased with the way it turned out. Here is a pic for your viewing pleasure:

Tuesday

Went to Oceano Dunes in central Calif, got brave and went down a medium dune. It had rained, so the sand was packed, not power like usual. Have to go back on a dry day. The tracks are from my stock tires and my skid plates left a small pattern. Wife was shooting video, so no still photos of the TE going down the hill.

We are on the same exact boat. :)

Here's what I did yesterday. Took the 4R out to Hollister to get dirty for the first time with a bunch of the 120 guys. I'm officially hooked!

This 4R is "SICK", certainly among the best of the Black on Black W/Black wheels that I've seen anywhere! ....Dam!

I put new turn signals into the Shrockworks bumper and followed directions and put silicon in the end to seal it all up. Things still to install.... HAM radio, rear sway bar links, and 20" LED bar on the front bumper.

Went to my local dealership for my 10000 mile service.:bluejump:

Not only did the clean it (against my wishes) they left a nice two inch scratch on my rear passenger door, talked to the service manager who took it to the body shop to have it "buffed" out, came back with it looking ten times worse.
Now I have to take it back on Monday to have the door treated and re-sprayed.:crybaby: The not so funny thing is, this is the SECOND time it has happened, it happened at my 5000 mile service too only on my rear hatch. They did fix it and I cannot tell it was there, but it's my free time they are messing with.
I'm thinking about taking it to another dealership next time.:happens:
