went to the dealer for my first 5k check, didn't have them rotate my tires. so just lube the mechanical then went to America's tire to have the tires re-balanced and rotated. Runs straight and smooth once more now that the tires had a chance to break in.

finally put my headlights in.
Used plastic-deck Reese carrier to haul off a set of wrought iron railings original to the front entrance of my 1926 house. Had rails bead blasted and powder coated ahead of a pile of concrete work (new driveway, garage floor and front steps). They look great and are ready for next 87 years. Rain has the concrete guys a little behind schedule, but the rails are ready to go.

Traded in my 2010 Black Trail w/ 90K miles for a new 2013 Black Trail. Both KDSS/Nav models. Loved the 2010 but I'm putting on about 35K miles a year (got the 2010 TE 2 yrs ago used with 13K miles) and I thought I'd refresh and 're-zero' the odometer while i could still grab a 2013 that would get me through to the Gen6 series (2017?). I just can't warm up to the front end of the 2014s TE, plus I got a great deal on the 2013.

chagned my oil (resulting in a small ecological disaster), greased all the drive shaft zerks, pounded my ARB skids back into shape after they took a fairly significant shot while wheeling, waxed out some red neck pin stripes, and gave the under carriage a good spray down, and planned out my next set of mods. pretty productive day

Went to visit family in Ruidoso, NM and decided to mess around a little bit on Capitan Mountain in the Lincoln National Forest. Got to test out the new suspension and tires...was fun times.

Ah stripper clips. Haven't messed with those in a while.
Personally, I like to take the sling and wrap my fore hand around it to steady the rifle. Always looks funny to me to see it hanging.

Made the Sabine Pass to High Island run w/ Mrs C9 that we had to cancel yesterday due to weather.
Got to test the new Icon suspension a little:
