Today (Or this weekend really) I did some DIY mods.

First Installed a Buggy Whip

Using a home made bracket

Then I did Antman's awesome rear hatch inside release button mod. I sleep in the back and that was the very first thing I noticed when I closed myself in. You can't get back out!
(Well withough going trough a side door) Can't thank Antman enough for the wiring guidence which would have taken FOREVER to figure out.

Button bracket and wired into the connector to the electronic latch. I also put in the diode as Antman did just to be safe.

Tapped power off one of the interior light plugs...

The recessed button after all the interior paneling put back on.

Need to stick finger in hole to press button. Of course you don't want any sort of shifting load to press it accidentally and have your hatch pop open on the freeway or while offroading now!

Cables, not chains. Those will only last a couple of uses.

On the way home from a workout, I spontaneously checked out a field that looked like it led to a couple short trails. It was a good find cause I got to use 4Lo, A-trac and got a couple of poser shots, too.

Received word that my shrockworks bumper and sliders are ready for pickup in Houston. I won't be down until April 9th unfortunately.
But ordered a pair of these for the bumper today

Just a couple of comments, 10* is pretty narrow, or maybe you're getting a wide/narrow combination. :shrug:
Also 900 lumens doesn't seem that high of output for $500*. I'm seeing 1700-2000 lumens for bike applications for $250/$300.

*I think most run on 12v source, and haven't been looking for my 4R, just biking.

Getting ready for a guys trip up to Breckenridge. New Weathertech mats, Yakima roof rack, and snow chains over the last few days. About to roll over 500 miles now.

Pretty sure you won't need those snow chains. It's been in the 40's up there and roads are completely dry. Went up Sunday and it was almost too hot. Simple 4wd will get you up if it's snowing.

I run four of the 4.5 cannons and they throw a lot of light (look at my avatar) The 6.7" throw light over 2500' feet so you'll be happy with them! They are bright.

You can easily change the output using the covers - floor, euro, spot...in all the main color choices. Good choice!

These are in a completely different category. 10 degrees is fine - you add covers to deflect the light. Read about them as normal headlights are 1500-2000 lumens but these will easily outshine those as they can throw that light up to a half mile.

They have selectable lenses to change beam pattern. Also I didn't see a 900 lumen output spec...the sheet I read had an output of 3400 lumens with an effective output of 2200 whatever that means.
Also I found them for 825 shipped from a third party site.

Oh look at that! Usually I am better at searching. So you like them then? I am hoping the 6.7s will be pretty bright, the specs look good, and I like the versatility with the changeable lenses. Also I prefer the look of round lights up front for whatever reason.

I like them a lot...mine are bright and these are 1.5X brighter - I think you'll like them. The lenses are great quality and give you lots of options. I have both Euro and Spot and I actually prefer spot. Great thing is you can carry the spare lenses so if you want to change the output lightening for snow or fog...no problem - presto-chango - they snap right on and act as a protector for the light as well.

My wife forced me to take a couple days off from work. Decided to take advantage of this AWESOME Cali weather and drive up north. Must of put about 1k on the odometer over the course of 3 days. The 4Runner is the perfect road trip vehicle.

Lincoln North (technically West in this picture - sunrise in the East) - planes mostly land West coming from Downtown except for those odd windy days. It's rare to be in a position when one of these huge planes is coming down while your driving...happened once before and I didn't take a pic. In the side mirror the image is so much larger in real life - those planes are enormous!

Having a Happy St. Pats w/ my dog Set my StaunII deflators to 20lbs, took a little drive and tried them out.

Watched a bit of a storm role in to the south.
