I got one of these in black and it looks great and grips the car seat very well.

It also looks like it will protect the upholstery very well.

Edit: Just clicked on your link. That looks almost identical to the one I bought. It should work fine.

I used a towel and just made sure it had two layers between the seat and the car seat. Made it extra snug too. The car seat won't budge an inch.

Hey guys, not sure if any of you are interested...but this is what I did after I torqued them to spec, drove around for a few days and rechecked the torque to make sure it didn't loosen up. I put on a thin jamb nut over it and just cranked it down a bit with a box wrench because I didn't want to disturb the main bolts torque preloading or whatever you call it, lol.

The size and spec is: M14x1.5MM Pitch--7MM Height and 22MM Width

I'm going to do this too. I used nylon nut to replace and will probably do the same as what you did too for extra assurance.

It will work in the middle, we've had ours there since he was born, now he's getting booted to the side. I hear that the middle is the safest point for a car seat in a case of a collision.

Haha, I just installed my daughters car seat too. I didn't think of using the center rear seat. I'll have to check if mine works in the middle.

With all the baby 4Rs here and on the way, any idea what could be used to prevent the car seat from damaging the leather? I was looking at Amazon.com: Prince Lionheart Two Stage Car Seat Protection - Grey: Baby . Thanks for the feedback :cheers:

Got most of the install done. Just some finishing touches like wiring and the skid plate are left. Had to leave everything to go to work.

Anyway, I am very happy with the bumper. Had to be a little creative to incorporate the "behind the grill" bracket. If I don't like it I will just move the light bar to the bumper. It was interesting mounting the bumper itself on my own. It involved a balancing act, but I got the job done.

Just kidding! Thanks for the offer. I installed [MENTION=100172]Jim82[/MENTION] 's SW sliders this morning and I had every intention of having him help me mount the bumper. Problem was I was still messing with those damn headlight trim pieces. Impatience got the better of me and I tackled it on my own.
