What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Snows off, summers on

Got the winter wheels/tires off, sandblasted and painted. After 3 winters, the steelies I bought used were looking not-so-good. 3 winters on the Blizzaks and they still look great. Summer tires back on ... now if summer would only get here.

Well the truck and trailer shop I took them to does. I was surprised too, didn't ask how they did it. Blasted, primed, painted, top coated, both sides for $150.00. No way I'm messing with 'em for that.

Yah, underground, heated. I live in a high rise now. Miss my own garage and shop.

Did you buy the fog light kit or are you doing something else...I waited as I wanted to see the space and what it looked like first (backside view) but would be interested in what you're doing. I understand what [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] did with his lights....which is an option. Anyway - totally going to copy Bobby's build :thumb3:

I did buy the fog lights..but have some knock off Duallys to throw on until I get some SR 6" for the front

Sliders... and not little sandwiches :madgrin: Easy as 1-2-3... almost, driver side was a PITA for a "bolt-on" FYI KDSS Lines, tank strap, skid plate, and two stick nuts.

Anyone getting ready to do an ARB can PM me for my cell while it's fresh in my mind..I sure as hell don't know what to do, but at this stage have figured out what NOT to do.

After I got the Budbuilt winch plate out...it started to fall back into place. I'm sure I'm looking at a full day tomorrow as well. I had PT until 11 am so I got a late start.

After I got the Budbuilt winch plate out...it started to fall back into place. I'm sure I'm looking at a full day tomorrow as well. I had PT until 11 am so I got a late start.

I am starting on the side brackets that go behind the main brace and is bolted to the frame. Already drilled out the nuts. Do you have remote resi's? Looks like the furthest bolt is supposed to connect where the resi mount is connected to the sway bar - about to disasemble the swaybar mount to check it out...and drill a hole if needed in it. Guess they didn't think folks would install anything but their suspension.

OK - got to the same point. I am gonna have to do this mod from Bobby to fit the remote resi's. I would keep going but am at the point I have to cut stuff and don't want to piss off neighbors. Tomorrow - early I begin again.

BTW - also did the diff breather mod.

Those side brackets were a pain in the balls...the instructions were useless until you get to that "aaahaa" moment.

I hit two deer a couple of weeks ago....truck did well for sure.

I have one person that asked about the winch plate early on...so he's got first shot......he refuses I'm putting it out on the for sale section.

LOL - to his credit the instructions are super vague (thank god for pictures) - it makes Ikea look like instructional geniuses. This is the equivalent of Lego's with every other page missing and were trying to build the Death Star - give him a break. Luckily the hard part is over for him. I've got to mod more crap...didn't think I would be screwing with suspension parts when I got into it - and no way to know since the instructions suck.

Luckily all the parts fit together nicely.
