What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Was doing some driving around and walking around today. Stopped at a gas station to quickly use the facilities and when I came back outside there was a cop the size of an NFL linebacker walking around my truck. Got a little nervous about things like mud flaps and tire poke, plus it was pretty hot out and the dog was in the truck (less than 5 minutes) but with all the windows open a couple inches. Walked up and said hi and right away he starts asking me what kind of suspension I have, how many inches of lift, tire size, where I got it, how much, etc. Gave him some info along with a CT4WD card and he went on his way.

Oh yeah, I greased my UCA bushings today too.

If i could "de-friend" you all for today, I would.
I worked last night, slept through this beautiful day, and working again tonight...

I shall live through you!

just a little light wheeling

Headed up a couple logging roads with a friend(and his Tacoma)
tested the new suspension nicely!

and of course some gravel pit fun. cause why not?

The girls and I went on a little adventure in the 'Runner today...

We took a drive on some access roads and did a little glamour hiking...

When we got home the awning came in handy for some sidewalk artwork.

Fun day!

That's awesome Bro!!!! Great family time pics.

Nice man! I'm kind of surprised it's not clear yet. that patch looked manageable but I would be hesitant solo. Scotch Creek is probably open, it's a little lower.
I will be home later this week, we will be in Moab 30th/1st then tooling around Durango and the high country. I'll call ya.

How do you like them?

After installing them I drove to Disneyland to drop off my kid. I thought it would feel rough and bouncy on the road. It felt pretty good for not having any weight back there besides the spare underneath. I was impressed with these coils. I asked the wife during our drive, do you feel that the truck is more bouncy at all? She said no.(Test#1=pass)I think once I get the bumper on, its gonna feel even better. You will definitely gain 1" more in the back without any weight. With old icon coils about 39" ground to fender. New overland coils was about 40.25" ground to fender.

Tires

Replaced my POS Bridgestone H/T with Bridgestone H/L Alenza Plus with an 80,000 mile warranty. Actually pretty happy with the tires. Thought about getting new rims (wider) but since my new house is further from my job the gas mileage is the better idea compared to the look of new rims.

My pics (below) are right side up on my computer, and upside down on iPhone and iPad. How are they for you all?.

:faint:
they're all upside-down.

you probably rotated them using Preview.app on a Mac. you need to make your changes and then "Save As" (or Duplicate>Save) a new file. otherwise Preview doesn't really make the changes, it just tells the system the new way to display the file in order to remain non-destructive to the original. that's why it looks different on anything but the Mac you made the changes on. :puter:

suck it!:wave::hug:

nothing cooler than a group of Yankee fans

Had a little offroading trip in just past Idaho Springs in Colorado. The off-roading was simple enough. Skid plates definitely came into use and got on two wheels more than I would have liked but it was a blast. Ended up camping the night and taking a few pics, none really of the off roading parts.

Devils Canyon and Trail Clean-up

Ran up Devils Canyon above Idaho Springs and did trail clean-up with Front Range 4x4 club. The TE handled every obstacle with great ease.

Nice, I was just through Idaho Springs twice for the 2014 Ride the Rockies... not in the 4R but riding up Berthound Pass with a headwind and snow was character building :)

Thank you!! I went back and uploaded again. :typing: Hope they are OK now!!

Yeah call! Re the snow pack - although I have full size tools now, I was the only vehicle up there - everybody else stopped at the lake (except for a couple of quads that don't really count). I knew that if I got stuck I had a long walk.
