Installed my new Stampede Bug/Hood protector. Good deal on AutoAnything, and the quality is nice. Sorry for all the glare, you can just take my word that it looks good hoto:

Also did some stickering... care was taken to get them at least mostly oriented properly

Awesome. Never thought of that but just made some for myself. Took 5 minutes and a tiny pilferage of the reload stash. Thanks for the idea!

After a ridiculously busy day I finally took the plunge and did the dip! Handles, rear badge, SR5 badges are done. Still have the bumpers, rockers, fog bezels and front to do yet. Still debating on doing the wheels too. Bye bye chrome!

Got the fog bezels dipped this am. I opted to not do the grill since I want to do something else there. I did do my rear license plate frame. I thought the chrome looked weird next to the flat emblem. I managed to screw up around the hole when I was putting the screws back in. Touched it up with some q tips. Doesn't look too bad from a distance. I also peeled the dip from the back side of the handles since it was difficult to get dip back there. Overall I'm happy with it. Chrome strips next weekend.

Thanks! The winch is a smittybilt XRC-9.5K Waterproof Winch Gen2

Also, Yep, those are the light mounts.

West of Tonopah

It was an unusually cloudy cool morning today in the desert....took advantage of it and took her out to a favorite spot we go to get away...not much but good at least to get her off the pavement!

Installed my CBI rear bumper and brought home a new addition to the family over the weekend.

Decided to finish breaking her in by driving over the Sierra Nevadas.

Really nice drive.

Fairly comfortable, aside from the shape of the top of the seatbacks digging into the middle of my scapula. I'll get used to that though.


Also learned that going uphill isn't exactly in the 4Runner's wheelhouse. supercharger some day, if it ever drops, maybe. :thumb:

15 MPG from Sacramento to Reno. 20mpg from Reno to Sacramento. hit the 500 mile mark.

Today I decided to paint my fenders of my 2014 Trail Edition Prem. to help break up the lines of the truck. Truck looks much better now ;-)
