Today I decided to paint my fenders of my 2014 Trail Edition Prem. to help break up the lines of the truck. Truck looks much better now ;-)

Turned out great! I was contemplating that as well but got discouraged when I realized that part of the flares are actually molded with the fenders rather than full separate components; made me nervous about screwing up an entire fender(s)...lol. Nice job!

Thx for the kind comments. Yeah it molded but I just took my time masking with blue tape lol. Btw, love the look of your truck. I just ordered my Gobi rack and ladder as well ;-).

Nope, just the winch. By some miracle, there were 2 just big enough scrub trees about 30 feet away at nearly the perfect angle. There wasn't another solid winch point for at least 800 yards.

Edit; I meant you're "shaming" us in how much hardcore four wheeling you're doing (and I'm not); not because you laid it down. That didn't sound right at first..lol.

The trail was sand and the recent rains had cut a huge rut. Was trying to squeeze by when the wall of the rut gave way. Fortunately it was a gentle slide into soft sand.

For future, if there's nothing else, you can dismount your spare, hook the winch line or other rigging to it and bury the spare. If the angle is low, it doesn't have to be buried very deep. Your spare makes a pretty good dead-man.

I know about that one, just really, really didn't want to have to dig. In this case, there were abundant logs around, so I would have used one of those and left it buried.

Tallguy Mod #1.

Problem:
a: Upper seat concave section causes thoracic vertebrate to rest in unnatural position.
b: lip/edge on top of seat pushes into t5/t6 area, causing arm numbness/pain.

Temporary Solution:
Inserted 1/8 foam to fill the gap allowing even thoracic vertebrate support.

Permanent: Determine correct height adjustment, shave solid block of foam to fit the indent. // Tempted to smooth out the top of the foam, but don't want to cut into the seat.

The messed up thing though? The passenger seatback is about .5" taller and the ledge isn't as severe. It's perfectly comfortable by comparison!
