Yes - the sun has indeed been out in Seattle, and the seething pot of technological innovation has once again boiled over: Today saw the preliminary road testing of the new "solar task light sunroof recharging rack". We've fallen in love with these solar lights from Amazon:

This new version comes complete with USB recharging cables for cloudy days and easily replaceable rechargeable batteries.

The rack allows us to easily recharge the lights while we're out hiking, and we particularly don't miss the fingernails-on-chalkboard sounds of the lights skidding across the top of the dashboard as we drive around on curvy roads.

I clean my car all year long regardless of temps .. as long as the water doesn't freeze on contact or in the hose lines at the car wash, then I'm golden!

Going to war :uzi: with mother nature is always a fun pursuit for my 4R. :rockthrow:

From December to February, I take the wife's car and mine to a local detailer and have them do a hand wash. They do a good enough job and the peace of mind that it isnt washed with a brush or machine with all kinds of junk in it is well worth the $25 each time and I dont have to freeze my tail off while doing it.

Other than that, they get washed on a regular basis at home.

I wouldn't say hack, just moved the front fenders forward as a preventative measure. It took about 5 minutes. The lift is currently sitting in my garage until I find some free time to put it on.

Just got the Cooper ST Maxxs put on today and I'm loving them. Couldnt get my phone to take a decent picture, but oh well...guess I'll have to wait for decent lighting. I need to wash it anyways.

Had the dealer install a viper alarm and remote start along with another anti rust coating.

Knocked old man winter off the truck and happily installed my new wheels and tires courtesy of discounttiredirect. I can't say enough about these guys, great deal on this set up, two day delivery to my front door, free shipping, packaged up tight and safe, tires at exactly 32 PSI as recommended. Anyway, Black Rhino Sidewinders in the same configuration as stock (17"X9", 265/70/17) with General Grabber AT2's mounted inside out (not a OWL fan). Love the look and can't wait to test the improvements in the snow and muck we've had for what feels like an eternity.

Hard to see the difference from my phone camera. They are 100% better than stock halogens, because with them the light spectrum looks diluted under city lights. The 4300K bulbs produces a white output but with a little hue of yellow and blue depending on the angle.

you know if they just extend out the front of the rack about 3-6", that front piece could actually sit on the glass instead of the painted area.

Done did it!

So this website keeps making me spend money. Was not planning on lifting and I did. Was not planning on getting anything bigger than a 265 and I did. These rigs are so awesome and the mod bug has got me good. Here is an update of my rig with 285 70 17 Duratracs. My 265 70 17 Cooper ATP's bought since September of last year will be up for sale soon. Thank you all!
