Finally brought Dirty Harry the Money Pit home. Poor quality photo but you get the idea.

Had to replace all of my cam bolts/sleeves and all of that nonsense. Stock ones were frozen solid and had to be torched out. Also buttoning up the front end.

Man what did that box of OE put you back?

I pulled all mine when I did my coilovers and slathered them with marine grade anti-seize... I guess we'll see how well that experiment works out in a few years.

Stuck my kayak saddles back on the Baja Rack for the summer. Pumped for 'yakking season now! Might head out for a quick paddle tomorrow to start getting in shape for my Alaska trip in a few weeks.

How did you mount them ? I've been looking at mounting options for my kayak mounts since bajarack cross bars are 1/2" the ones that come with the mounts don't fit

on today's menu is replacing a leaky inner dif seal, re/re UCA bushings, re/re the straight zerks on my metaltech 4 link with 90° pieces.

They're clamped to the 1"-ish tubes that make up the top perimeter of the rack. The saddles clamp perpendicular to the cross bars. They wiggle around a bit, but once the yak is tied down everything is sturdy.

Always wanted to hike the 4 peaks (Tonto NF). Took the scenic dirt road up to the trailhead (~20mi.) :driving: and then hiked up to the saddle point.

Gathered up a complete Thule rack - feet, bars & locks - off of CL so I can mount my RTT this week. Finally. Cost was 200 vs 340 new. Not bad.
Also gave the Runner a bath today. This thing is a monster compared to my truck! About had to get a boom lift to wash/dry the roof! I'm pooped. Installing the rack can wait....

Had some help from a buddy getting the wiring and airline portion done for the locker compressor. Need to find a suitable bracket to actually mount it. Thought I could get away with temporarily mounting it just by the feet straight to the wheel well. That was a quick no go.

Went to Mammoth this weekend. We drove in Friday night while it was snowing, the rig did great. Weather was perfect, it was great to get some snow in SoCal. The best part was seeing so many other 5th Gens and two other TEs in particular.
