I would run 10 ga at the least, really. It's a pretty long run to the battery. You will be fine with what you've got but with a fridge running back there you could definitely use a thicker ga IMO.

See that's what I was having trouble figuring out in my research. I didn't find a lot of fridge specific wiring, but the outlet installs I did see were mostly 12 ga, and I thought I read that the factory was a 14 ga on a 15 amp fuse, so I took a chance on the 12 ga/20 amp. What kind of issues could I run in to? Electrical is not my strong suite at all.

You will probably be just fine with the 12 ga, but...
With a longer run to the battery like you have, a larger ga of wiring will be more efficient when the fridge is drawing more power.
Most people that have portable fridges report significantly longer run times with bigger wiring. You could also run into problems with the fridge not starting up (drawing full power all at once) when the battery starts to run down. I researched A LOT of "fridge threads" on other forums before purchasing my ARB fridge!
Personally, I ran 8 ga back into the cargo area to a distribution block and 10 ga to the outlet. I also have another outlet powered off that distribution block, some LED lights, etc.

Thanks. I'll see how it goes. If i have power issues, I'll know how to fix it. I didn't place a distribution block in the rear because the fridge is all I plan to have back there. I will add one to the front once I add more electronics, and that would be a good time to upgrade the wiring. Again, thanks for the help/advice.

Picked her up from the paint shop (passenger door paint was cracking). Removed the roof rack and running boards. Roof rack is SOLD. Running boards are up for sale.
Just need to rewire the driver side ditch light. I had to so some internal soldering on the light.

This was ysterday but my Gobi was delivered so I threw it on. Of course it started raining as soon as I had the old rails off and the holes exposed haha. Pretty straightforward installation despite the weather, and the quality of the rack is great. Worth the cash as everyone else on here has said. I only regret not calling a buddy over to help lift it on, my wife was confident she could handle it and we ended up with a decent scratch and dent when it slipped on her. It made me want to :barf: for a second...Oh well, it gives it character and I can't be mad at the woman who let me buy the thing in the first place! Ladder will go on this weekend.

looking wonderfully green up there. I have a friend that used to own a cabin just below that A-frame on the hill.I was up there last year and some dude in a real estate rig ferried some people up there, were stopped pointing around big arm and hand gestures. Was a scary site. I sad day is coming for that part of the Wasatch.

150618 – Following motorcycle tracks cross country.
18 June 2015; Sunny with slight breeze; dry 7% relative humidity; 90 F (32C). A rather typical June day in the middle of the Fortymile Desert. Closed Escrow yesterday on the house in Rocklin. Today decided to relax with another short trek out in the desert.
I drove out along the east side of the Hot Springs Range again and took a trail that I had run several weeks ago. This time entering the mountains I discovered that since being there last time a large group of off-road motorcycles had crossed the track and created a new route headed north cross-country. Since there must have been dozens of them they actually created a new trail thru the brush, sand and rocks. So I decided to follow their track as it seemed that it might connect to a dead ended track I had followed a few weeks ago.
After following the mc track for a couple hours, sure enough it intersected the other track. This time being that the sand was dry the going was a bit more challenging than when it was damp. I almost stopped to air down the tires but didn’t. The A-Track performed its magic and pulled me thru.
After getting out to the flats, I continued on east towards the railroad line at Massey Slough. I got to the Massey Corral which last time I was there was in the Land Rover; that time the track was snow covered.

Yep, not sure if they have tenant yet or not. This is a little over 1M square feet.

It's really not that bad I guess. Here you can see the dent just below the mount and the scratches to the left. I think I can buff the scratches out pretty easily.
