Not today, but last night. I didn't really plan on doing anything special in my 4Runner. Sons birthday and taking a kid home from the party.

^ Deer was a young doe and, after the launch across the road and into the opposing sides ditch, nothing but hamburger. I didn't want it and no one I called wanted it either. There has been quite a problem of this around recently and everyone already has all the road killed venison they want.

Not yet. Appt with adjuster on monday. Dealer collision center isn't open till Monday as well. May be an excuse to upgrade to the Slimline bumper.

No, I have no build thread. But the cb install went awry somehow and only works intermittently. My husband ran the wire through the handle in the hatch. It looks great and you don't know it's there when you drive it, but now the thing needs to be taken apart so we (he) can figure out what isnt working.

It has NOAA weather radio which does work, and it is so nice out West or in the Adirondacks.

I have to get some kind of suction cup like [MENTION=93894]J-BlickPhoto[/MENTION] has to keep the antenna from flexing back when I go fast...

FL springs

95 degrees in Tampa today. Packed up the tubes, fishing gear and beverages and cruised up to Dunnellon, FL. Bass fishing, tubing, 73 degree spring water and clean air. Rainbow River Springs state park.

Went to home depot and spent $15 on some clevis pins and some clamps to make roof rack mounts for my maxtrax. It was super easy.

It looks like you got off a little easier than I didhwell: We took a trip to visit our daughter a few weeks ago, and a deer in Oregon got us. It was driveable, but the damage was around 9K. Damage is all repaired, but I'm waiting for my Shrockworks bumper. No, I didn't take the deer, the two log trucks a little ways behind me pretty much made it a wet sail deer.

^ Ya I'd say I definitely got out quite a bit better than you did. I don't know what the $ damage is going to be yet, but I'm already considering replacement with scrockworks. I like the look of the slimline a bit better, but the extra armor on the corners would be good.

Thanks. I'll see how it goes. If i have power issues, I'll know how to fix it. I didn't place a distribution block in the rear because the fridge is all I plan to have back there. I will add one to the front once I add more electronics, and that would be a good time to upgrade the wiring. Again, thanks for the help/advice.

I would just buy an 8 guage amplifier install kit at walmart and use that. Power inverters suck a lot of juice and the wire gets hot if too thin. I owned an audio store for 10 years. We would install inverters for Ice cream trucks to power big freezers in the vans. Thicker the wire the better.
