Lost Lake, Colorado

Parking lot was full at the Lost Lake trail head. Fortunately they have a small forest road that leads to additional parking. The recent rain and snow melt had made the water crossing deeper than normal but the 4Runner handled it like a champ. Tried to do some fly fishing up at Lost Lake but the pup wanted to swim instead.

Dublin Dog Co. This one was purchased at Orvis but looking at their website, they have a lot more options plus some softer ones. This one is pretty rigid unfortunately.

Went out with Badlands Offroad for rock Climbing course at Johnson Valley OHV. Me and 5 Jeeps, managed to tear the plastic bumper trim off the back, exactly where new Shrockworks bumper will go next year. ARB airlockers put to excellent use, no way I could have made the climb on attached photo without lockers. One of the jeeps made a blind turn into a ravine, no major damage, once we pulled it out it ran fine.

Which tire carrier are you using ?

Heck, we started in Central City and ended at Fall River. We were all over that place but I remember Yankee Hill.

Played tourist and drove through Glacier National Park on the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Got some new shoes...

Technically it was this weekend, but I ditched the OEM Bridgestone Duelers in 265/70/17 and went with the new BFG KO2s /10 ply in 275/70/17. VERY happy with the new rubber so far. Minimal noise increase (barely noticeable really) nice ride and GREAT off-road. Anyone want some almost new Bridgestones? Took 'em off with 1500 miles on them.

Today I hauled the boat for the hour + drive to Sandy Point to fish the Bay for White Perch. Only 25 keepers over 9", but Yum- Dinner!

Anyway, I just figured out how to post to youtube (because I'm an idiot) so here's a video that shows why I love my little Scout so much!

At only 16' and a modified tunnel hull, it will literally float in 10" of water (with the motor up), yet I can safely travel on rough days like this. There were NO other 16' boats out there today- I got some strange looks, lol)!

The "crashes" sound worse on the camera- it was attached to the windscreen, you can see my reflection at times- pretty cool.

I didn't get to open her up until around 10:40-ish in the video, and I don't think I ran wide open....

She's petite fast and mean. I love her.
