Some nimrod rammed me and a prius that was parked next to me in a parking lot. His insurance is covering everything and I'll be needing a new rear bumper and possibly quarter panel. This means only one thing... time to buy an aftermarket bumper

yeah, stopped at a local joint for korean bbq. as is typical of k-town, all the lots were jam packed and no one knows how to drive. i take it you saw the korean writing lol.

Dude get it fixed, file a claim for diminished value, THEN rip it off and get an aftermarket bumper. Mine got rear ended in March and had pretty much the same exact damage. I got it fixed through the idiot-high-schooler-texter-and-driver's insurance, then had a DV appraisal done and popped them with the claim. I got $1500 on top of them repairing my truck.

Message me if you want some pointers...it's definitely a process to get paid.

Definitely the way to go IF your state has a diminished value law. Not all do. Mine for instance does not.

Not exactly - All states recognize diminished value as a 3rd party claimant (dealing with the at-fault's insurance). NOT all states recognize diminished value as a 1st party claimant (claiming it on your insurance policy).

In this case (and in mine), the OP was not at fault and has a right to be made whole by the law - which includes diminished value regardless of the location.

I wouldn't use that Fram Cabin filter in my rig. Look how little pleaded material it has when compared to OEM underneath.

Added Hi-Lift and shovel/axe mounts to the Yakima rack. Got both on sale on Amazon. Went on easy, seems secure. Had a brand new Master lock laying around so I used that to make sure the Hi-Lift doesn't wander off.
