What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Do you guys for see any issues with a rear setup of Bilstein 5100 with SAW 1.5" coils? The 5100s are rated for max 2" rear lift and the coils oftenoften give upwards of 2" if not slightly more. Any issues withwith full flex or general driveability?

Driving to work this afternoon, I passed two transport trucks.

One was full of vehicles that were completely covered with a white cover that had small holes in it for the headlights, a place to look though the windshield and not many more. Also, there were no tell tail logos that I could see, not even on the wheels.
The second ones had more holes cut in the rear glasses.

Then I caught up to this next one in the photo and noticed some range rovers up top on transport carrier. Could I have happened upon some concealed new sports models that the mfg doesn't want seen yet, possibly some spy shots?
Is range rover going to release a sports car 4WD or AWD or were these vehicles just ride-alongs ?.

I don't know, just throwing this out there.

No, at least not in the 30k+ miles I've put on mine.

if you have third row you would likely only get about 1.5" out of the SAW coils like me.

I keep reading this and I have a hard time believing that the 3rd row really has any bearing on the height yielded. The OEM rear coils are the same for all models as far as I know. If I am wrong then potentially user could get a set of coils from a 3rd row model and slap it in a non 3rd row model for a moderate gain in height (thinking of members running 6612s etc)

but thats what I am saying... the jump seats are not that heavy. If the OEM coil is the same on 3rd row model and a non 3rd row model it should have zero bearing on ride height with SAW coils.

You have the jump seats, but you also have added side airbags and additional hardware required to meet safety standards for the 3rd row. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, as this is just an assumption.

the 3rd row is technically not jump seats, they are bolted to the frame/body. since they are not meant to be removed as needed they should be more stout and heavier.

but then again I am just speculating since I don't have a 3rd row and never had in any vehicle ever.

I think there is probably a small difference, in talking to a couple other members we did get different measurements with the only difference the third row. I think the last time It can up we were less than 1/2 inch difference though.

People claiming more than 2" (OP on this topic) are probably referencing things before allowing any settling.

Really it's a dumb discussion though, who cares about a half inch of ride height???

I could care less... my point is just that the factory uses the same coil so why isnt my 3rd row lower off the lot? Furthermore, if the coils are differnt, lets say spring rate, I am thinking it would be an option for a non 3rd row owner to get a little boost out it

Got shipping notice on my replacement upper coil over mounts. They are listed on the invoice as Revision E, so hopefully they are better than the ones I have. If so, I'll replace both and order another as a spare.
