Installed a 40" Rigid LED, looks great and mounting the light on the rack took all of 2 minutes but I was not able to run the wiring along the windshield seal as expected. I tried at first stuffing the wire between the seal and the A pillar and was not able to get even 1 wire to fit so I decided to remove the seal and try that route, while I think it is possible I was not getting good results and so unless I figure out what I was doing wrong I will end up using the wiring in the Gobi rack and running the wires through either a marine grade grommet in the roof or more likely into the back hatch and use the factory grommet if there is room. I did test the light and was very impressed with the in person brightness, sadly am feeling like a poser with a light not connected on the roof.

Mines like your. Never would connect mine to my roof..

Hey, not sure what you're expecting to use your maxtrax for, if sand then your storage should be ok, if mud, you might wanna rethink. Mine get super dirty and caked so putting them inside the vehicle wouldn't be wise.

They fit in front of the wells behind the 2nd row. Just barely.

I keep a painters plastic and a cheap towel in the car. If the Maxtraks are muddy so am I.

I just finished wiring a similar bar (Procomp 37 3/4") on my 2014 Trail. I did run it all the way to the back of the truck and then forward up through the Gobi rails. I was able to tuck the wires under the sill plates and inner panels without pulling anything. I did have to thread between the driver and passenger door and between the passenger door and rear cargo area. In the back the wiring fits nicely under the door seal then inside the headliner through the existing wiring grommet. Gobi recommended 12G wiring so I used the 14G that Gobi installed to pull the 12. That turned out to be the hardest part of the whole install as my 1st attempt was a total fail. If you can get away with the 14g I recommend it as the 12G is a tight fit.

With the MaxTrax Mounting Pins and large washers to sandwich the rack between the washer and the mount. It took several tries to get them installed in a position that didn't require excessive force to get the mats on I am happy with them up there vs inside. Only major downside is currently there is no way to lock them so anyone who knew what they were looking at could make away with a couple hundred bucks in mats in a hurry. However.......I avoid sketchy places, the mats are hard to see on the roof, most have no idea what they are, would assume they were locked and I don't live my life in fear so I doubt I will worry about figuring that one out.........that said I do plan to do something about the 40" light bar as it is more visible and would not require getting on the roof to steal.

...O how I wish it was still that clean up there

Did the MaxTrax not fit horizontally the Gobi? I just got mine but havent tried laying them across the rack yet.
