Installed Rigid Duallys

Installed a set of Rigid Dually LEDs behind my grille. Install was pretty straight forward, just a PITA to pull the wire thru the firewall to mount the switch.

I used some 90degree cabinet brackets that i bought from the hardware store, they work perfectly for where i wanted to mount the lights. Pretty happy with how it came out!

Just got back to Houston from our trip to Co.

Couple teasers,

sunset cruise up poughkeepsie. Never run it before so I figured we would go ahead and do it in the dark.

Nice and easy mod. I was wondering if those L brackets would work. thanks for the ideas.

That exhaust sounds sick! I went with a Toytec 3" setup but mine didnt come with the KDSS

Body mount chop

Just last night I had done a BMC however, the guy doing it said welding a plate is not necessary to have welded on. He protected it with rust protector and undercoat spray as well.

Being the worrier that I am, is it necessary to have? Is it more for better peace of mind or is it for structural purposes?

body mounts are designed boxed in for a reason. Will your truck fall apart? not unless you get into a collision.

Personally, I would plate it in but I don't think leaving it open is a structural concern. There is a lot of metal keeping those body mounts attached to the frame... They are not going anywhere IMHO.

Bought it 2 days ago, spend yesterday and today in the Deschutes National Forest breaking it in properly before heading back to California on Sunday! Needless to say, I was a very happy camper!

Put about 1000 miles on it today, probably more, a SOLID 16hrs of seat time pushing hard to get from Kansas to WNC. :driving: Thank god for XM radio.

Forecast is awful for Overland East weekend, but it's better than the snow the Overland West folks had in the spring... sort of. Really glad my folks live down the road so I don't have to camp if I don't want.

Went offroading before work, got really stuck and had to call my boss to come pull me out of where I was. I'll post pictures up later. Decided after being stuck that I need a winch and looked at the undercover hidden mount but they don't ship to Canada. Go figure. Do any of my fellow Canadians know of any options? I might even go new bumper or the SSS hybrid if the exchange rate wasn't so brutal.

Now I'm leaning towards the pelfrey winch mount. Any reviews from you guys with it?
