Stealth Installed

Had a 2-3 hour break in the rain so I decided it was time to get the Gobi stealth and ARB 2500 installed. Now I should be all ready for the Cove next weekend.

Nice--if there's one reason I'd look at a full length rack it would be to have a better, easier, more robust place to mount an awning.

And carry a canoe.

I guess that's two reasons.

What did I do today? Got my first scratch on my new 4Runner! DAMMIT... 2016 model with less than 300 miles - slightly scratched the interior grey plastic panel next to the cup holder with a stainless steel coffee mug. Minor I know, but enough of a scratch that I will notice it for the rest of time and it definitely let's me know what to expect moving forward with this grey panel interior - it won't be the last time I scratch it I'm sure. I believe I read in Warthog's build thread while researching 4Runners that he hated the interior for this very reason - it scratches easily. Now I know what he means.... Oh well - it couldn't stay new forever.... And it's a 4Runner - scratches are required, right?

I went with the MetalTech OPOR's for the Limited. It was a bit of a cluster.... but mostly because of the roundabout way I went about ordering them through a 3rd party, it took 5 months to get them in. If I had to do it all over again, I would have probably ordered the Shrockworks trim and then went with the BudBuilts. That being said I'm happy with them so far, just hope they are strong enough with only 2 legs on the limited version holding them to the frame.

I've been wondering if a 30" light bar would fit behind the grill. Glad to see it does. How did you mount it?

Made my own brackets..bended some 1" aluminum flat bars and mount them on the existing hole near the grill

Picked up and added the only accessory I ordered with the truck. Looks great, feels solid. A definite upgrade in my book!

I color matched my emblems. I also wrapped the rear hatch cover with black brushed metal 3M vinyl wrap. I tried the plaisti dip first but wasn't satisfied with it. This way was a lot more work though. I will also vinyl wrap the bumper covers to match.

I'm going to use the side wings to raise it up so the cargo tray will slide out independently underneath it

I stole the idea from someone on here I just can't remember who to give them credit
