Nothing I have said is inappropriate in any forum. I simply refuse to tolerate bullying of any sort.

If you read the original post, you will see I refer to my Tundra, which has subpar leaf springs. I even furthered to say I would help the guy get in contact with the sticky thread for the build out to DIY airbags on Tundra Talk.

Back to topic....I added a drop in K&N, charcoal filter delete, Husky floor lines, rear cargo cover and mat and added a Teconsha P3 brake controller.

Didn't really realize I had over stepped any etiquette bounds by saying that the pro still needed things done to it to be better suited for real off roading....
In all fairness that doesn't really have anything to do with what I did to or in it today so I'll give you that one.

None of you guys did... yet. It's all about the context hence the warning instead of bringing out the hammer. If I have learned anything in the past few weeks it's people get hurt feelings way too easily on this subject and I get the pm's.

Lol have you read the threads on the long term reliability and how much it is to fix KDSS ???

Once it goes bad on mine... I'm just ripping it out... I know what the problems are. Shit I think I was the first to do a 2" body lift on a 2014 4Runner Trail...

Heres another issue with KDSS depending on how the level is on your driveway or the parking spot where you park. Your ride height will vary with it... I've seen my ride sag from passenger side by half an inch. Drove me crazy...

There's no rumors... People whos had problems with them have had problems with them... research it on the forum...

I have researched it (I am here and elsewhere everyday reading posts), I have seen pretty much three threads with any kind of real issue, out of roughly 50,000+ KDSS 4runners sold since 2010 (just 4runners, not including Lexus branded vehicles since 2007 or Land Cruisers) Knowing that we obviously aren't the only 4runners owners in the world Still what is the percentage on that, here out of all of the KDSS owners over 5 model years? I think I am being generous by saying roughly 1000 trucks here with reported issues that is only 0.3%.

Still what problems are you talking about? Many cars and trucks lean KDSS or not. Failures, I just haven't seen them, you are speaking of reliability, aren't you?

There just have not been any long term reliability issues, maybe in ten more years when the oldest systems start to approach 20. Hell if things make it that long I would say that's a pretty damn reliable system.

Yes, I have seen many discussions on what it costs to fix but so far only one person really seems to need to have had it fixed (it only clunks in a very particular situation), so her deferred. The others turned out to be different issues altogether. None actually "needed" repairs.


For the record, what insult? I just said if you are going to sprack about something back it up. Not once did I insult you. If you took 1 out of 3 as an insult, which it was not (noted in which you were completely correct) a poke being jestful, yes, sorry :thumb:

I used this and did some touching and some wiping haha. Basically, i sprayed it on and wiped it off. The first time I used it, I left it alone like it said and it was as glossy as meguiar's hot shine.

Shiny tires are nasty looking on offroad trucks :biggrin1: :barf:

Shows cars with dressed tires, sure if that what you're into.

I use CG Wheel and Tire cleaner and a good scrubber to clean off grime. Simple green diluted works really well too.
Not too toxic.
