What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

One last pic from my great trip to Moab late last week. Nothing like this place. Second pic is us getting ready to go up Hells Gate ... in another persons vehicle!

if you're switching over to a hub centric spacers, maybe consider the 1.25" to help minimize the rubbing.

Yeah I think that is what I was planning on then when I got around to ordering them I ordered 1.5" by mistake. I thought that was the size I had seen people using on this forum. If I can't stop the rubbing I will do the 1.25 hub centric.

I am going to do my best to make these work. They are plenty smooth. I put about 50 miles on them today.

Can't wait to see them installed and the light pattern. I was on the fence for hrs debating between those and the D.O.T. fogs. Went with the dot ones and hope I made the right decision for what I wanted.

I have 55watt HID Head Lights and they're pretty bright as it is.. I wanted hi output fogs... which is why I went with D2's

If you wanted "hi output fogs" why didn't you buy actual fog lights?

Mounting them low doesn't eliminate glare for other drivers. Aiming them down doesn't eliminate glare for other drivers. The only thing that accomplishes this is using the right light for the job.

Didn't know we had the light police in the forum...:police:

When did I say I was using them for street use ??? D2's are not dot and off highway use only.

Will be interesting to see what Capq45 thinks about the Rigid DOT Fogs, since they have the lens to prevent upward glare. The D2s may be pretty harsh for oncoming traffic I hope Rigid also considering selling the DOT version in Amber!

I just wish I could fin a 1" HC Spacer for the wheels on this rig. That would be the perfect stance for my needs.

Just a quick note: I have been running the non-DOT D2 driving lamp kit continuously for 2 or so months now. In the city, in the country, all over the place. The only time I have been flashed a few times is when towing a rather heavy trailer that had my front end angled slightly higher than usual. Otherwise, it has been all good!

You said you wanted "hi output fogs". Your words, not mine.

I understand that the D2 lights are not DOT approved and are for offroad use only. That was the reason for my concern with your statement of wanting to use D2 lights as fog lights. Then again, I also understand that D2 lights are not "hi output fogs" to begin with.

If you're only intending to use them offroad (or at least when high beams are appropriate), awesome! It makes sense to use the fog-position as an easy mounting point so as to not require a light bar or other external mounting. Not to mention, they would actually suck to use in fog or with any precipitation since they would blind you more from seeing further down the road. And I'm sure you know this already, but the "offroad use only" designation of the D2 has not stopped most from running these on the road..... and they are quite annoying, even from a lifted point of view.

And you think that the number of times you have been flashed indicates acceptability (or legality)?

My wife sent me a photo of OSRAM LED DRL/Fog lights (LEDFOG101) together with Toyota Fog Light with Kit (LEDFOG101 TY) that arrived from Amazon UK. Can't wait to get my hands dirty :bravo:

Ok light :police: lol I messing with you... my intentions are and have always been to use this off road or when I go up to big bear during this winter...

But the D2's driving pattern are rated at 3100 lumens that's alot of light out put... These will have to do until I get my Gobi roof rack; then I'll mount a 40" E2 Combo, 3 - 20" E series flood lights, 6 rock lite kits, and 1 - 20" Driving bar will be put on when I get a front bumper.

This is going to expensive... but will be great for wheelin in the dark and in the dark in snow.

The bad news is I removed the 1.5" spacers. There was now way I could remove the excess rubbing and that would drive me crazy. Of course I should have already known this but I was too hasty in my purchasing. The silver lining is I got to play with my new jack and jack stands. Also got my hands good and dirty.

I also just got my canvas back cargo cover for my third row. I love how it covers the backs of the second row too. I think this is pretty much the best option for a third row.

Also ordering my front runner rack today. I wanted the ARB but it only will leave a little less than an inch space to get in my garage and when I swap out the suspension down the road I am afraid I may make it too tall to fit.

This looks great and has sold me. I have the third row as well.

I got suckered into picking up furniture for my sister-in-law on the way back from my business trip. I also had to deliver and move it upstairs for her as slacker husband is TDY for training.
