Let my wife drive it today since she was dropping off kids and her car has such low ground clearance even though it's awd. Still plenty of snow and snow banks from plowing from yesterday's storm.

Thats awesome!! I see there are storms coming this weekend... I'm heading up there on Sunday afternoon hoping to get a few days worth of snowtime in, but will the storm let up??

Going up on Saturday for 5 days, looks like some snow on n Sat. Eve., but nothing big until Christmas Eve when we leave. Plenty of snow on the mountain, so no worries!

I did the roof rail delete. Cleaned up the look. My winter tires are at the shop getting studded. I plan on doing a review of Burtman and FNwheels because they pretty much knocked it out of the park. I'm corporate retail management for a fortune 50 co. and I would hire these guys in a second if things went south for them.

Spare Tire Mounted - Cooper S/T Maxx 255/80R17
I got my spare tire mounted and installed today. I got the tire from the local tire shop. They were able to provide it mounted and ready to go cheaper than I could buy it online. I decided to use the OEM spare rim and mount a Cooper S/T Maxx 255/80R17 tire on it. This is essentially the same tire I have on all four corners except not quite as wide.
The more I work on this truck the more it feels like the Toyota engineers designed the 5th gen 4Runners to utilize a 33 inch wheel. My speedometer is only off a couple miles at 70 MPH and I haven't notice any loss of power with tall wheels either. Even the spare tire space accepts the 33" wheel. So far I couldn't be happy with this truck.

At the rate it's raining today and the records we will break by the end of the weekend it's not a bad idea! There is great snow in the mountains though. Safe travels, it looks like a great x-country road trip!

Installed cheapo eBay sourced backup LED bulbs. They were claimed to be 15W 800 lm, the truth was they were only 3W and 360lm.
Before I installed I measured them and inspected the design (by using "cheapo" I did not mean to install "junk"). The output is not bad - the same as you may expect from 3W LED and worth paying 3.5 dollars per bulb. It is not 15W but because I don't have a backup camera I don't see a $hit anyway (only what I can see in my side mirrors), so ... I bought these bulbs just for testing so instead throwing them away, (I was not going to return them), they can stay as my backup lights saving electricity (3W versus stock 16W).
I don't have a picture as taking a picture pointing at the backup lights is completely pointless, and there is nothing on my driveway to shine at.

Sold my stockers with only 102 miles on them & my stock shift knob for $520 total. Dude got a killer deal, but whatevs.
