Posted too soon, the tires just showed up! I got Cooper ST Maxx in 255/80r17. Based on a lot of feedback from the forum these should be a great improvement off road without too much on road annoyance. Can't wait to get these and the lift installed and test it all out!

Did you get 4 or 5? Just curious if a 255/80 will fit in the spare area underneath.

I got 4, but it will fit in the spare location. I think someone verified that somewhere in this thread:

I'm planning on a rear bumper sometime in late summer or early fall, so I'm going to wait until then to get the 5th.

Installed a new bike rack. First time with a hitch rack... sure is nice to not have to reach up on top of this thing...

Need a review on this after you've gotten some miles on them. I have the Rocky Mount TieRods on top of my Outback and love them, but looking for a hitch rack for the 4runner.

picked up this beauty at Cabela's yesterday. holds a saw nice and tight, and the stiffer lift gate struts I put in when I did the ladder confidently hoist and lower the door even with the saw on. winning.

and then I promptly caught my RRT on the garage door backing my truck in after the door slipped due to a soft spring, and completely destroyed the garage door. losing.
so if anyone knows a garage door guy...

trails here suffer from overgrowth and dead fall. I'd say I used my saw more than my recovery gear, and I was getting tired of digging it out of the back.

Yeah, I'm digging that chainsaw mount. I got a lot of use out of an axe, and blisters to show for it, on our vacation. I'm considering getting the Ego 16" chainsaw (I have their mower, leaf blower, and weed eater already) but didn't want to sacrifice the cargo space. This would be a great solution, and is even better if you're using a messy, smelly gas/oil 'saw. Can you provide info on the mount?
