Spent the weekend at Mt Graham. Temp didn't pass the 80s up at 9000+ feet. Heard it was 119 in the valley. Also some pics of a couple weekends ago with the door-handle swap to flat black! Washed her for my appointment to get toytec lift and Cooper st/Maxx 255/80r17 installed tomorrow. Thanks to [MENTION=127311]rjb_213[/MENTION] for the shop recommendation, I went with your people because their quote was 1/2 of the place down the street from me. Extra peace of mind because I know they just installed the same lift not too long ago.

They do great work. Can't wait to see the final result!

Finally replaced the door handle after about a month. Just needs some PlastiDip.

Finally got around to fixing the welded nuts the front skid plate bolts to this weekend. Last month in Moab I guess I hit the front skid too hard too many times and weakened the welds for both of the nuts welded inside the crossmember just under the radiator. Thankfully the nuts didn't finally break their welds until I had partially loosened the bolts. This gave me room to cut the bolts off with an angle grinder. The inside of the frame has little upward clearance in this area, so even though I cut the bolts off flush with the bottom of the frame, I still had to drill one out partially as it could not just be pushed up out of the hole. Then I fished them out of one of the larger access holes with a magnet.

Then I had to enlarge the existing holes from approximately 12mm to 13.5mm to accept M8x1.25 rivnuts. I used a 17/32" drill bit as the difference between 13.5mm and 17/32" is about 0.002" and a 17/32" bit is easier to find than a 13.5mm. Rivnuts were then installed using a rivnut hand installation tool, and the braces and skid plate were reinstalled. I just put the stock skid plate back on right now as I need to repaint and/or possibly get a new front RCI one as it's pretty bent. All in all, a pretty productive afternoon and only took about 2 1/2 hours even with the inevitable unforeseen problems cropping up.

So far so good. I haven't hit anything back there lately though. I'm no engineer but I think that they should be fine since most force is either pushing the skid up to the frame or laterally rather then down. While I was looking for solution I came across a number of other vehicle forums and it seemed to be a common solve. If it doesn't hold up I'll have them welded in.

Icon stage II kit. Front coilovers with UCA. Rear is icon 2.5 shocks with 2 inch spring. Drives so smooth.

Very happy with it! Super friendly and accommodating place, and I'm glad to give my business to a mom and pop type shop. Took the day off work to drive down there, brought my bike for transportation in the meantime and my fly rod to keep me busy.

It's the Toytec lift kit for TRD Pros, and like many others I opted for the SAW 1.5" rear coils which eliminated some but not all of the rake. Beating a dead horse with this, but it really does feel like this is how it should have come from the factory. I was skeptical that it would improve the ride, but it really has. Also had Cooper ST/Maxx 255/80r17 mounted and love them so far. Looking forward to a camping/ fishing/ shooting trip this weekend, where I should be able to give them a good test off road.
