What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Well finished it off last night...

Man I really like this. I wanna do a carrier for when I go fishing and this just gave me some good ideas. What are you using for the hinge? Is there a build/write up we could see for this carrier?

Installed new tires today. Kinda a off size and couldn't find much on a 4r. They are taller than 285s, and a hair narrower. On BFD 9 inch wide rims. I love the way the drive and look. Standing next to my old worn out atko 285s they were 2 inches taller.

I've been debating for some time now whether or not I should run this size vs the 285/65. The KO2 is about 33.2" which i prefer but the tires I want, ST Maxx, or Wildpeak AT3W and possibily the Ridge Grappler is 33.4" which may be a bit too tall for my setup. Are you running spacers as well? and any BMC? I'm wanting to get close to 33" as possible. the 285/65 are between 32.6-32.8"

I actually have a decent amount of clearance, i was a little concerned. The only thing that i will suspect to rub is the washer bottle shrockworks mount on the bumper. Stupid location Toyota. Easy fix. I am NOT running wheel spacers, they would make it much tighter, and probably require a BMC. As you know, every setup is a little different. I had the ST maxx on a jeep. Good tire.

Did a couple things to my 4Runner over the past couple days. One, I added some reflective material to my sliders, and then put on the vinyl lettering that came with them. Yeah, eventually it's going to get scratched up but I can always replace it when it gets too bad, and until then I think it looks great:

Another thing I did was name it! I've never named any of my vehicles before but for some reason I wanted a name for this one. I chose "Megaweapon", which was a ridiculous truck in a cheesy movie on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Ordered some lettering and it arrived today:

Nice! Do you have a build thread or a write-up showing more of these drawers? I'm interested in the stain job done, it looks really nice and smooth to touch. I'm also interested how you have those mounted inside the trunk.

I do intend to do a full build thread on the system once it is complete and I can take some good pictures of it.
I don't actually know what Noel used for the finish, but it is a stain/poly combo that she recently used to refinish a coffee table with great results.

System is secured to the inside using factory threaded holes for for the Stock cargo tray. Fridge is secured to the aluminum angle mount I made with bolts.

I just used a 6 x1/2" grade 8 bolt with a nylon washer in between. I haven't done a write up on it didn't know if there would be interest.
