What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I found that during 10k oil change the service ignored my request to not "set tire pressure to mfg spec". They went through the standard routine and deflated my KO2 to 32psi on all wheels. No wonder the truck run like through the sticky mud. So I inflated all tires to 40psi and the ride comfort went back to "Cadillac Mode":boink:

Just got a 2016 limited 4x4 4Runner last week! All I did was look at it today. Lol want to replace the bulbs to led soon though! Just need help getting pointed the right direction

Looks like a great setup. What are the tides like there? Looks like a wide beach but I'm sure it gets filled up at a certain point in the day.

Went today right at low tide. Thanks to some beach re-nourishment there is still quite a bit of beach even at high tide.

Have yet to have any problems. 4Runner has done great, no need to air down or change out of 4hi.

There is also 4WD access at the south end of the island at Fort Fisher. The beach is a little more narrow & the sand is a bit softer there.

Usually after August the crowds die down quite a bit, even on the weekends. North End has designated camping areas too.

Really lucky to have such a beautiful beach just a few miles from home. [emoji4]

Perseids Meteor Shower

Drove up onto a local mountain about 1am to watch the Perseids meteor show. Slung up the hammock along the shore of a pond, laid back and listened to owls hooting while watching shooting stars.

During my excursion this past weekend (post #18277), hit the rear diff a couple times on some rocks. Ordered Budbuilt rear diff skid powdercoated in red. Chose BudBuilt as these are the only ones I know that accommodate KDSS in front of the pumpkin.

I have the RCI front and t-case skids. But the RCI diff skid doesn't fit with KDSS.

Installed a RAM mount for belt clip devices so I could mount my Midland CB that was usually flopping around on offroad excursions. Not many places offer enough room inside the 4Runner. Considered mounting against the driver side trim of the center console but didn't want my knees banging against it. Installed on passenger side, still easy access to the transmit button and top squelch and volume dials.

Picked up a Cherry Yakima Skybox 21 for $400 on CL. Only 2 months old and they normally go for $600 new.

Not sure what country the family was from, but they were on an American cross country vacation and we're leaving shortly and had to sell everything they couldn't take on the plane home.

That's a steal! Yakima anything with that little use for 1/3 off is a solid buy.
