One of my favorite trails in Oregon, the Taylor Burn Road, more fun in the snow but it always leads to some of the best high lake trout fishing to be found. The fire that caused the stark landscape happened in 96' and makes it dicey to be in there without a chainsaw and the road is sandwiched by two wilderness areas. https://youtu.be/FMvDW-_69w0

Quick spur of the moment camp trip to Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef NP. It's about 3.5hrs from my house, so it's easy to zip down there. The camper didn't love the roads - kinda beat the piss out of it - It doesn't look like most offroad campers, but I built it from the ground up to take a beating albeit certainly somewhere short of a true overland trailer. Ideally I'd just drop it off at the campground and go run around without it, but in this case we were doing a one way from north/west to south/east and not making a loop back so we just pulled it all the way. It held up just fine. I would like to build a 2nd dedicated overland trailer this winter. I'm running short on parking space though. Anyway - here's a few pics. I even provided a treasure map!

I just got back from Colorado yesterday(kind of like the previous member!). Didn't do any hard wheeling, but I did drive half of Rampart Range Rd. outside of Colorado Springs and Old Fall River Rd. in Rocky Mountain National Park.

I just had my skid plates off to install my lift and don't recall seeing that piece. Is it some kind of way to force air into that area? If so, what for?
Installed my ARB awning 2000. I have it attached to a Yakima Mega Warrior using the Fourtreks mounts. I was a little worried the unsupported span would be too long but it just makes the recommended minimum of 700mm. Super useful addition. The rack is great too. I really want to upgrade to a Frontrunner or Gobi but for now I was able to throw a bunch of stuff up there.

2 Weeks, 5420 Miles, 11 States, 11 National Parks
Just returned from two weeks dream vacation trip.
Drove big loop through all states west of Great Planes (California-Nevada-Arizona-Utah-Colorado-South Dakota-Wyoming-Montana-Idaho-Washington-Oregon-California) and visited 11 National Parks.
Drove from -280 feet (Badwater in Death Valley) to 14100ft (Pikes Peak in Colorado). Used A/C in 105F (Death Valley) and heating in 28F (Yellowstone).
The bottom line is I added 5420 miles to odometer. Time to rotate tires again.

Started to route my air line to the rear axle. Ended up going down the driver side following the brake lines, frame, over the gas tank to the axle. Used some fuel hose over some areas for extra protection against any exhaust heat. Took my time routing and shouldn't snag onto anything when I hit the trails.
Going to install my ARB locker before the month ends.

I'm not sure if I'd go so far as to say that it's not needed. Car companies aren't known for adding or installing unecessary parts on vehicles. I'm not sure what was going on thru the engineers head when he designed that piece. But I'm pretty sure it has a need and serves a purpose.
Has some fun with PlastiDip. Got rid of the chrome on my '16 MGM Trail. Gunmetal grey with Graphite Metalizer on top.
Couldn't stop there. Dipped black/Glossifier over the real valence. Going to compound it tomorrow to see if it smooths/shines up at all. Then will work around to the front.
Might do the wheels this week as well. Have two ideas in mind. Found out that it's fairly easy to take the center-cap emblems off.

Plastidipped my trails wheels this weekend to see if I like the look before powder coating them. Also dipped the badges and put bilsteins on all the way around.
1.75" on front and OME 10mm spacers on the back. Also put on a 3/8" spacer on driver front and an additional 10mm on driver rear to account for the lean. I have a 0.75" rake after all said and done.

Did you remove the silver trim ring from the speedo? I thought mine was the only one like that, lol.
