Roof Rack and Running Boards

Blacked out the roof rack and modified the running boards!

20% tint up front and BFG KO2's 275/70/17. Bilstein 5100's and Countersteer's are next!

How did the 20% on the front match up with the rears? When I put 20% on my 2015 Tacoma it was darker then the rear. I had to add 50% to the rears to make everything match.

Butterfield Canyon, Oquirrh Mountains, Utah

Took my dogs up Butterfield Canyon in the Oquirrh Mountains today. Nothing technical unless you count watching for idiots driving too fast around blind corners. :car: :gun5:

I really want to get a GoPro just to get some shots of the drop off next to the one lane road. It is paved all the way up to the fork to Middle Canyon / down to Tooele. :rant:

There is still dirt / gravel road up to the Rio Tinto Kennecott Mine Overlook. There were some mildly interesting spots where very old pavement was wearing away on hairpin corners with straight down drops. It was really nothing for my 4Runner, I can't believe I saw people driving their cars up this washboard road and I know they were scraping undercarriage in many spots.
This is one of the mines that can be seen from space. It's only 40 mins to the top from my home.

Ok done! Really pleased with this shop in Hillsboro, OR. Called last night and they got me in today.

Just used pre-set configuration at 2.5" I think.
Front: before 34.75"
After 36"

Back:
Before 36.5"
After 38.5"

Drives a little differently. Swerving or corners aren't as tight but not too wobbly. Rides nice. Will go over some bumps on the way Home and see how it handles that.

Also the brake drop isn't as bad.

Can't wait to get the wheels and tires on tomorrow and get it aligned.

I know you aren't asking me, but I also have 20% front. Pic below. I have access to a meter.

These are my notes regarding the tint match:

CURRENT SETUP ----- > 20% window tint up front. This is not a perfect match to the back - the back was metered at 25%, the front is now at 19% (due to the OEM window's 75% tint), but it is close enough.

Although after having the new wheels and tires installed today, now I'm getting a weird creaking noise. Didn't hear it with stock tires but then I MAY have had the stereo cranked and didn't notice it. I'm assuming it is just the new suspension settling.

20% match was good- very very close..... Just tell your tint shop you want it to match and they can recommend options. I paid the extra $25 for suntek and can't tell the difference ( and have the lifetime warranty)

That's what I thought. I've seen 285/75/R17 as well. I guess that is slightly taller, tire sizing is confusing to me. [emoji15]
