Installed my Total Chaos Upper Control Arms last night. Passenger side took three hours because the damn upper control arm would not release worth a damn. Driver side done in about 40 minutes, heh.

Finally had a entire Saturday off and the wife is out of town! So naturally the honey-do list had to wait. Installed my Spidertrax Wheel Spacers and blacked out the chrome areas on my taillights. Really happy with how it all came out.

Went out to San Gabriel OHV for a little fun with the family. Ended up tearing off the front valence cover from the front bumper and demolished the skids on a big rock!! At least I know the skids do the job and protected the 4Runner. Guess it's time for some new skid plates. Any suggestions??

Did you buy your truck from Stevinson?

They seem to equip every single vehicle with a piece of garbage KARR "security" system when they hit the lot. Not sure if they're intended to be an upsell to the buyer or for anti-theft while on the lot.

I've been way too lazy to figure out if they're as simple to uninstall as tracing back all the wires and removing, or if they go deeper. I'm pretty sure they install it with shitty T-Taps as well, so it might be best to just leave it in place.

Chances are, if you didn't pay any extra for a dealer addon security system, it's just a passive box at this point.

Got my fog lights today from Susquehanna Motorsports, German made halogen projectors. I'll probably get around to installing these next week. If anyone in the Bay Area wants to do a conparo shot between these and other types of fogs let me know.

Naw, I installed a demello bumper and it didn't feel like trying to retrofit the factory fogs to get them to fit, the hella will bolt right into the provided tab in the new bumper.

Yeah it happens. I drive through deep mud with boulders lurking beneath. Bastards pop up like wack-a-moles! If you will be bashing the belly, Budbuilt has a well designed steel set with a wide front plate and smooth overlapping.

If weight is a concern and you want sacrificial protection then RCI has a good aluminum set.

You also might want to get some knee high rubber boots and prewalk those washouts just to be sure.
