Cabin Air Filter

My 2015 4Runner is always garaged and sees very light duty having just over 17k miles. My air filter is still clean. The cabin air filter, however, was BLACK! It looks like I've been driving in a coal mine! I replaced it with a Genuine Toyota 87139-YZZ20. I recommend checking those more frequently.

and took back my deposit on a '17 Pro. No sunroof or kdss on the Pro were factors in deciding to keep my lightly used '13 TE.

Did my first oil change tonight. I questioned the cartridge oil filter at first, but it was easily the least messy oil change I've done on any of my vehicles. I did purchase the MotivX filter wrench and drain tools, which made the job easier. Contrast that with my Miata, and it's almost impossible not to get oil all over the subfame because the filter is mounted sideways on the side of the engine. Also, thanks to RCI (@joshp767) for making their front skid work very nicely for oil changes without removal.

Good choice. The Pro is overrated. Building up a Trail is the best of both worlds. Add in Icon, King, or Fox 2.5" shocks, full RCI aluminum skids/sliders/aux lights and you have a "Pro" on steroids.

Maybe it was just mine? Maybe mine had it because it was originally slated for Houston? Maybe they didn't put a carbon activated filter in yours... Maybe mine was just that dirty (completely possible)...
