Supercross day today
Took my wife and twin six-year-olds to the Cowboys Stadium to watch the Supercross races. Kids loved it. It's been 25 years since I went and missed the screaming two-strokes of my youth. Driving out of the stadium was a massive clusterf^*€ of epic proportions.

Got the first scratch out of the way.I knew it was a matter of time, but part of me hoped it was at least gonna happen on the trails. Nope.
Was being a good and careful and hand washing the rig, two buckets and all. Hose snagged and lazy me gave it a good whip. Wet sandy hose against the door = sad ffdrew. Its tiny, and I'm sure I can buff it out, but it still hurt for a minute. Part of me is glad it's behind me now...
Sorry to hear it. The 1st one is always the toughest, especially they way it happened.
I was sad too, but now I have more Colorado pinstripping then any new vehicle should. Sadly most won't buff out.

Suppose to get 16-24 inches of snow later today so I took the girlfriend home and ran some errands before work tomorrow. Light snow on the roads and my 16 Trail keeps amazing me with how well it drives. Swung by the airbase to watch them clear snow on the way back and drove through 6inches of snow with ease. Simple and easy day.

My 4R was broken into last weekend (they smashed the rear passenger door glass and crawled in); they did recon on the vehicle by wiping away dirt on the liftgate window to peer inside... so I went to the local fabric shop & picked up some black marine-grade vinyl, cut it to size (more or less ��

Yes, it's simple & kind of stupid, but hopefully with enough deterrents (window security film is next), they'll leave the truck alone.

Decided the Grand General marker lights weren't as bright as what I wanted for my grille. If anyone wants the Grand General lights (amber/amber), hit me up and I'll let them go for super cheap. I have no use for them.
Installed 2 Rigid Industries A-Series High Power Amber lights in their place, wired to the bumper turn signals/DRL.
The camera captured their output oddly and I couldn't get it to take the picture without weird angled glare, but you get the idea. Shout out to [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION] for the sweet T4R discount, as always.

Installed hopkins insight brake controller. 15 minute install max, even with my kids helping it took longer to open the package than it did to install it.
Then went for a tow test of the R-pod 182g 100% stock. Tounge weight 372 pounds, rpod 2990 as it sits, will change with equipment like batteries and LP added. The rear dropped about 1.7 inches with three adults, two kids and simulated camping load and my 90-pound lab in the back. It leveled the truck off, I was expecting the front end to feel lighter like it does when we pack for vacation but it felt fine. I followed a pre-planned route with speed, the wind, many turns and elevation changes, insane Nashville drivers, passed by 18-wheelers, etc. absolutely no issues. No sway, slight kick, no problems. Despite the incorrect ball drop (due to the sag, dealer borrowed, a straight ball mount will level the trailer) it towed like a dream. Will likely install the E2 hitch to level it out after I've towed it for a while, so I know how it behaves. I will retest with a level ball mount once it has been fully prepped before we take delivery this week.
Now to waste three hours of my life reading the forum to determine how to monitor my transmission and other temps. If you have any shortcuts, such as purchase this specific OBD wireless reader, the torque pro app, create these PID's...I'm all ears! It would be nice to see this on a Garmin or other separate display from my iphone to make things clean, but it looks like Garmin may have abandoned that product.

So tucson is the trees leaves for rock hounds this time of year, it's nuts down town and surrounding areas, I decided to get away from the madness and instead of me putting a deposit down on a sweet stone, one left a deposit on me! Thank ALA for sliders!!!! Both sides got the ol bump and grind, did what I wanted them too, and momma was VERY nervous! Hahha
