That is a tough one, sorry to hear about your family's loss. As you said in your last statement, sometimes the rough days are the ones that bring back perspective on what is truly important.

So there I was, at a friends house getting a tattoo done this past saturday, my wife left the house to go get my daughter since she is wanting her first tattoo for her birthday this upcoming weekend. A few hours went by and they finally come back as my friend was finishing up on the beginning portion of my Polynesian sleeve (one of 3 sessions) and my daughter seen and wants hers more than ever now. As we were beginning to leave my friends house, I was walking to the passenger side of my 4runner and my wife was walking on the driver side. My wife began to call me to tell me to come and look at this crap. I walked over to the driver side of my 2016 black on black 4runner which i purchased back in January (brand new) and saw egg shells, egg yolk running down, egg splatter all over my driver side door, rear door and fender (Just did a car wash the same day too)...Fortunately I caught the egg bomb early so the yolk and whites did not do any damage, however, the egg shell left a pretty little circular paint scar on my rear driver side door and now the money that I was gonna use for my next tattoo session now has to go to my insurance (deductible) to get my door repainted (hopefully i can buff it out when i get the chance sometime this week...anyone recommend any wax or etc?) unfortunately I did not see them degenerates but my friend does have security cameras on his house, hopefully he will be able to tell me license number and vehicle type them idiots were driving.....how was your weekend?

I have zero respect for people that do this kind of crap to other people's cars. I paid for my truck with my hard earned money.... they last thing I need is vandalism. I'd be willing to bet it was some snotty teenagers. I hope you catch them.

That sucks. I had a car egged in the past, then the egg dried up nice and crusty in the AZ sun. It seemed to me at the time that there is almost no way to wash it off that you don't get some minor damage. Hope you end up with a better result and you catch the suckers that did it.

Absolutely terrible! You have to be kidding me!! Hopefully that video surveillance will pay off and you can at least involve the authorities to show them is nothing to laugh at. That's the great part about today's technologies....they really give you can edge. Also, glad to hear you caught it quickly. That definitely helped!

put the $$$$ down on my new leather interior. Alea leather in black with gray overstitch (to match the factory door panels). Having 1/2 inch memory foam added to the seat centers (front and back) and having the seat bolsters built up (front). :humble: should be complete by the end of the week

Weather was amazing this weekend so took a break from the remodel at my house and took my gf and betty white to Rowher flats. Messed around in the rock pit at the top. Nothing to crazy since I still haven't put my skid plates back on, probably do that this week since my stitches in my hand came out last week lol

Sorry to hear about your grandpa. Lost mine just over a year ago. Regarding the other things, I always keep a $20 stashed in my truck somewhere. Or, now you have a reason to buy some rotopacks or jerrycans!

The one thing that no manufacturer is doing is matching the frontal coverage of the stock gas tank skid. I’d prefer to see something a couple inches taller on the front side of an aftermarket version. Probably totally unnecessary being above the frame rail with very minimal exposure, especially if you are adding a decent t-case skid, but it is just a plastic tank under there.

Install was simple. Took 4.5 hours with lots of pictures. I usually fabricate parts myself, so it was a real treat to just bolt something on for a change! I’m going to fab an aluminum filler plate to replace the factory plastic component and help protect the lower radiator from debris. Finally an excuse to use that new dimple die set I bought years ago!

Bah! That polyethylene tank is bomb proof. I took this hit to my stock skid and it didn't even dimple the tank. Besides you'd have to try pretty hard to get something up in there that would do any damage.
Now go out and have fun gouging the hell out of them!

2017 Off-Road Rim Swap
My 2011 Trail was in serious need of new tires. I'm not ready to take the plunge on new rims yet because I have plans for a lift kid, bigger wheel-base, etc. So, I figured I'd test my luck to see if anyone was selling decent rims in the area because I hated my current stock set and figured for the right price, I'd throw new tires on and it'd hold me over for the next 2 years. As luck would have it, someone bought an Off-Road Premium last week, didn't like the rims and had the dealership but black TRD's on instead. The dealership wound up selling me these brand new rims and tires with <10 miles on them for $1,000. Not a bad deal if you ask me and the style is a lot better in my opinion.
