No not really. They really stuff the tire wells good without a lift. I do feel the additional weight of the tires, but it's nothing crazy. I imagine E load 275s would exaggerate this. I can't believe how smooth they ride for how aggressive they appear.
I went from 265 Nitto Terra Grapplers (stock) to 265 E load KO2s to 275 E load KO2s in the span of a week.
The move from 265 NTG to 265 KO2 wasn't too bad. Definitely noticed an increase in weight, but nothing drastic. The move to 275 KO2 is where I noticed sluggishness around town. Again, small change from the 265, but overall it's pretty noticeable. MPG is down in the 12.5-13mpg range in city driving and about 17-18 on the highway.
I'm not unhappy with the decision to go 275 E load KO2 though. I went over some rather sharp rocks off-roading this past weekend and the peace of mind (whether legitimate or not) made it worth it to me.

Found a dirt road, ran the 4WD a small amount to lube it back up since its been a while. Had to hit the big mud puddle a couple times to make my day better, then went to Gander Mountain. Get a Uhaul trailer and start loading later.

I traded my Classic Silver '14 KDSS TE w/ 38k miles that I bought with 25k miles this last October for a '14 Non-KDSS TE w/ 20k miles. I had my low mileage KO2s swapped over to the new rig.
The Non-KDSS rig rides *vastly* more smooth with the same KO2s. The KDSS really stiffens the entire truck up so much that it's like a totally different vehicle. I'm actually shocked how different the ride is. With my KO2s at 42psi on the old KDSS truck you could feel every crack in the road, but with them on the non-KDSS truck it's like a Cadillac.
I'm extremely pleased with the swap - the new one doesn't have dents in the roof, stains on the seat, or a 7/8" KDSS lean... and it has almost half the mileage.
Now I can do a simple Fox or King coilover lift at some point. :cowboy:

KDSS uses a thicker sway bar, thick sway bars are less Cadillac and more sport car. It gives you flatter handling, but also transfers more which can be less comfortable.

Made my T4 do a little work for a change, after a lumber yard run, picked up 1 yard of topsoil. Does not look like much in the photo, looked like a lot in the trailer and felt like 5 yards when we unloaded it. About half way through my son said maybe $25 delivery is not so bad.
