Had to go to Lowes after work to get longer hoses for my master bathroom sink, grabbed some hardware to install my grille lights. Ended up making a harness everything soldered and marine heat shrinked and put a fuse jumper off a empty slot in the fuse panel under the dash. Props to rockcreek overland for the write up!
First car mod in my new garage felt good, now back to draining my wallet with home mods :boom:

I got around to taping up and putting on these Trail emblems, I've had for a while.

Ouch, did some damage but could have been worse

Went remote camping with kids on the lake and on the way back came around a corner and hit a huge washed out rut (lots of rain here in AZ this year) on a cliff road and the whole side of the road started collapsing and started to slide over and almost tipped. I had no options to safely move it, was totally alone with the kids and since it was a cliff side road there were absolutely no options to winch it out. Fortunately we didn't roll over and I had a InReach device and hit the SOS button and was quickly able to contact help. But there was a bit of miscommunication and they thought it was much worse and sent a helicopter, so my kids took a ride back with them to the aid station where my wife picked them up and I waited for recovery truck. It drove out back home fine but the front drivers side wheel now is tilted in and back some, nearly rubbing the upper ball joint, to drive straight the steering wheel is off almost 90 degrees and some of the offroad multi terrain and traction control lights are on or blinking and won't go off. It drives but just barely, got it in with Toyota to look at, expect some serious work, just curious if anyone has any idea what might be broken/need replacing.

Erosion damage

Yeah it doesn't look to bad in the picture but it was tilted over pretty good and the whole driver's side was like quicksand, the whole thing just collapsed as we went over it. The drop off on the side was, well, Yuge.

Nothing to winch to at all except some desert scrub trees hanging on the cliff and I was worried that if I winched forward off of something not sturdy if the rear slide down the cliff then the whole weight of the truck could pull the whole thing out.

No word yet on damage maybe some kind of bent lower a arm, ball joint, bent knuckle, or steering linkage?

A fun time was had and luckily no one was hurt but I think I really need to find other people to go out with.

Great that you and your kids are fine, maybe an example where a Pull-Pal might have avoided the need for rescue. Generally hard to find anything to anchor to in the desert, so winch becomes worthless without Pull-Pal...

The picture of your 4Runner leaning on that edge looks hairy! Better it was much more sketchy in person. Glad it all worked out in the end. On the bright side, your kids got a helicopter ride, albeit looks like it might turn out to be an expensive one.

First hauling with my brand new trail edition ...

My boat is a 21 footer open deck that weight around 3500 pounds with the trailer in total.

Even though the Runner handled it nicely, I have to say that I would have LOVED a V8 option on that truck. It was feeling a bit weak in the hills compared to old V8 Dakota...
