hey quick question..
will a level on my 2017 pro ward the warranty on it or not?
trying to fit bigger tires on but lifting the truck will ward the warranty. I live in Texas if that makes it any better.

Labor estimate way off
Well, I dropped off my blue (5th gen trail w/ KDSS) today to have a lift installed. Fox 2.5 DSC coilovers, fox 2.5 rear shocks, T13 rear springs, diff drop and a TC UCA. The shops estimte was $600 plus $120 for the alignment.
Got a call during the job today that it was going slower than they expected. Long story short, the new cost will be closer to $1,050. And they told me that they are splitting the additional labor costs they needed to do the job.
Anyone know why this job would present such a challenge for this shop. They do monster builds all the time and have a very good reputation. They told me the new trucks are "very tight" and they have trouble separating / breaking parts apart.
Any input greatly appreciated.

That's a sweet looking bumper! What brand/model is it? Does that fit only the TRD Pro or does it work for all 5th GENs?

Most common thing broken when installing lifts on our trucks is a wheel speed sensor which will trigger the ABS light and maybe traction control light. Otherwise i don't really see much going wrong. Do yourself a favor and make sure no lights are on and test your 4WD and KDSS before you even leave the parking lot. If anything is off, doesn't feel right, or lights are on on the dash, go right back in and refuse the truck until they fix it. With all that said, don't lose any sleep over it. They likely just don't know how to mess with the KDSS swaybar, it can be a *****. I installed my lift on the ground without a lift just a jack in about 6 hours and that was taking my time. ToyTec Ultimate kit, went easy, took my time, even painted things like the calipers and rotors while everything was apart.

You love it. I was pretty happy with the factory suspension other than the nose dive when coming to even an easy stop. I thought it rode pretty nice and smooth. You'll be amazed how much better it rides with the new suspension. So much more controlled and feels much more planted to the road. Now you just need bigger tires!
What color did you paint those rotors?

Black same as the calipers
Discovered a new noise coming from my suspension, I believe it's the driver side front. It's intermittent and kind of sounds like a springing noise, happens on uneven surface or going over bumps, but it doesn't happen all the time.
Wonder what could it be, ball joints, sway bar bushings? I'm sure it could be a numerous amount of things that would cause the problem.

Took it to the dealers body shop to have the tailgate removed, repaired and repainted. 5 year old, garage door, door clicker open tailgate don't mix. Was gutted to see it. Hope it turns out well. Figures it'd be right after I redid the garnish and installed a classic 4 Wheel Drive badge. Ugh.
