Finished my drawer system!

Please tell me that you are a cabinet maker or do some kind of wood work daily... My current cargo storage system seems extremely inadequate all of the sudden.

Quick wash yesterday after work and ended up lopping off my exhaust at the axle. Mostly to see if I can get rid of the exhaust smell with the back window down.
The exhaust tip was a pain to remove tried everything from heating it with a torch and dosing it in wd-40 to prying up the tabs ended up using a hammer and tapping it off.
Then installing it, the 2 little c shaped spacers things I ended up just tack welding them to the exhaust because they kept falling out and hitting me in the face.

That drawer system looks like it contains many leather-bound books and smells of rich mahogany. Nice!

Idk yet I'll know this weekend. During the week it doesn't move since I'm on a company carpool to work. But in theory it should work the exhaust now kicks down and to the side, so it shouldn't get caught in the rear air pocket. I'll keep it posted with what happens tho.

There are some rectangular openings hidden under the sides of the rear bumper with lightweight flappy things over them, they fly open every time I shut the door so I am 99% certain the openings are connected to the interior somehow. The vent covers should prevent exhaust backflow but still, routing the exhaust tip to be right in front of the vent opening is a risky move for my taste.

Those vents are most certainly connected or "common" to the interior, but they are to relieve positive pressure, just like you said when you shut your door. So in theory they shouldn't let that stank in from that location

No, I'm not a cabinet maker, but if you're unfortunate enough to need root canal therapy I'm your guy.

parked my 5th gen indefinately

Hey Guys,

Im a new member to the forum and am having major powerloss @ the engine. I'm not able to post a new thread, so im replying to this one to see if you can help. I took my 5th gen to the dealership (twice), and to a second mechanic and they haven't be able to nail down the issue. Currently the engine is operating at about 30% power, they checked clogged cats, mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure. They are thinking the knock sensor is causing the engine to pull timing, hence the lost of power. they did check the sensor and wiring harness and both have good continuity (i.e. no issues with them) They didn't identify any knock or issue with the engine, but are recommending disassembly of the engine for a inspection to see if there are any issues $$$. Does anyone have any recommendations of other things to check, or any applicable threads?

Gutted the interior, sanded down and rolled in the bedliner. Don't want it to rot from the inside out. Gotta love these trucks, everything's super easy to remove and re-install.

Mmm like the idea, but I have a dumb question. Would the liner would hold humidity instead? I once had nerf bar that were covered with Bedliner to discover later that they rusted inside LIKE CRAZY.

Do not get me wrong, I am not challenging the idea! I am just wondering if its well known that bed liner protect from rust. If its the case, awesome job!

What was the reason for the windshield washer reservoir relocation?

As with many aftermarket bumpers, the reservoir becomes uncovered and unprotected after removal of the OEM bumper. Got a really nice plastic container from usplastics.com to replace it. All I'm waiting for now is the cap because they were on back order. They are only $10-15 dollars, not including shipping, which was another $10 to San Diego. I then bent an aluminum metal scrap sheet from work that we had left over and sprayed it flat black. I tested it out today and works fine!
