Well, looks like I'll have to go buy a heat gun tomorrow!
I tried using my wife's hair dryer, but it didn't work all that well.

Made my wife an off road addict by letting her drive the majority of Long Canyon Road/Pucker Pass. We attempted the trail from the bottom but didn't want to risk excessive damage with my daughter in the car. I had one set of matrax down but really needed one more. We had a great time.

Color Matched a License Plate Frame!
Randomly found some Krylon Gloss Smoke Gray spray paint at Walmart and decided to try and color match a license plate frame. To the untrained eye, it's a perfect match!

Yesterday installed Bilstein 5100's @ .85 setting and got my new wheels and tires installed
Fuel Vectors - 17x8.5 +7 offset / 275/70/17 K02s.
I was going for a little more offset but I did not want to rub to much or stick out too far.
It is pretty darn close to what I hoping for.. Let me know what you guys think.

Just like any other spray paint. 6 to 8 inches away and smooth strokes.
I removed the bumper and took the valance off. Hung from rafters and sprayed away.

Installed the film without removing anything. Just had to maneuver it around a little. If you're going to do it I suggest installing it wet rather than dry. When you install the film wet you can move it around

Spent 6 hours reading a Jeep forum and watching YouTube for mod/project ideas because there just aren't quite enough here.
Also worked hard the past few days to convince my "little" brother to go buy a Taco instead of an Avalon to replace his Camry. It went home with him this afternoon, and I've already emailed him a list of "suggested" mods!

Well I picked up my truck again for the shop and I'm about at my wits end. Going on 7 weeks between 2 different shops (have had it for about a week since May 3) and I still can't get it done right. At this point I'm ready to sell it and wash my hands of the thing.
New issues with truck:
- Dent on inside upper left of lift gate
- 3-4 scratch/dent/nicks on lift gate inside top
- Chip in body paint by right hinge
- Scratches on body next to left hinge
- Garnish upper clip will not clip to gate
- Paint is peeling/chipping/coming off around garnish clip square hole
- Backup camera weather strip foam is gone and it is bolted straight to the lift gate...plastic nut inserts appear gone.
- Spoiler/gate creaks pretty good opening and closing the lift gate. Sounds like plastic rubbing metal.
Minor issue:
- Noticeable paint lines/masking around both hinges on lift gate
- Still rough white over spray on back edges/lip of lift gate.
- Ding/crush mark in edge of driver door behind the protective film
I know I'm extremely picky about stuff like this (and pretty much everything) but this is getting ridiculous. I'm growing to hate the truck and how it's disrupting my life.

Man hate to hear that it's one thing to be picky and another to be getting quality work for the money you/insurance is paying to have it repaired correctly. My brother manages a body shop where we live and I assure you vehicles don't leave with issues like this. Hate to think you would have to get rid of it but starting from scratch might be only route.
Ran up into the forest trying to get a better perspective on the Lake Fire, by Castaic CA. Been awhile since it had taken her out (primary wifey transporter), felt good.
