Fixed Issue with TRD Skid Bolt

Had an issue with a TRD Skid bolt...here is how I fixed it.

Bolted up the RCI Front Skid. It appears they sold me a 'scratch and dent' at full boat, not too pumped about that, but super happy with the fitment otherwise.

My wife wanted family photos in a field. I told the photographer to hop in, stuck it in 4WD, and found a decent spot. We took advantage and grabbed a few shots with the truck.

Since i do not like the trd shift knob, i replace it with an oem FJ Cruiser knob. It was a perfect match and no more feeling like driving a bus anymore! I also installed the black chrome exhaust tip. In my opinion, it looks better than the oem tip. It is shorter and more oval looking. Enjoy!

Obligatory not today, but yesterday! Took the little one to check out a sand sculpture competition and couldn't pass up this opportunity. The one day of the year that you can drive on the beach past this iconic spot. So many cars I was shocked we were able to get this shot. Plenty of 4Runners representing too.
Had a little laugh later at the Prius that buried itself to the body and had to get dug out.

THIS MEANS WAR!

Had to pull my sliders after one winter to grind out a shit ton of rust (4 hrs) then repaint with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator as a base primer coat. (Rustoleum does not stop rust!)

Sprayed Eastwood Internal Frame Coating inside frame rails, lower A arms and cross members. 6 cans to do two coats. Hopefully this will at least slow the rust down and give me a few more years.

I love winter but not salt and rust!

Drove 4Runner to bring home a pair of 6-ton jack stands.

I found that standard 2-ton jack stands I have are not high enough to lift a frame of my 95 Tacoma (16 inches tall) that is not even lifted. 6-ton jack stands are 25 inches tall, and should be plenty enough to keep Tacoma's wheels of the ground.
